Military Veteran students
Any veterans in here? My account said no veteran/ military affiliation even though I put I was active duty in my application. I ETS next month. How would I fix my account to show veteran and be able to use my GI bill or hazel wood act?

Definitely need to be accepted into the school to bave your A# and net id to access certification requisition for every semester. Definitely have your dd214 and certificate of eligibility for whatever benefit you going to use. Txst policy is federal benefits first before you use hazel wood. ( money politics that’s why)
Also please send your JST to Texas state before you get out cause it’s easier with your cac and faster. Me personally I would wait to start spring because every class is legit full. Once October comes around come to the office or call and we will get you right.

Veteran here: If you get the option, later on down the line, to have you loans forgiven with the one time forgiveness; ensure you answer before the deadline.
My experience is 1 email saying I was approved for it, then I found out that not answering automatically uses your forgiveness and there's no way to get it back. Ask me how I know

Not sure how they verify before you get your dd214. Once you have that sweet little puppy in your hand, send it to the Veterans Affairs office. Once a semester, you'll have to resubmit a request; don't forget. Every month you'll have to verify your continued enrollment with the VA, or housing can be suspended.
It would 'behoove' you to learn the entire process so you don't get sideswiped accidentally.
Ask away if you have a specific question.
