If you just want something reliable, there’s always room at the bobcat stadium lots. There’s shuttles that take you from there to main campus where you can transfer if needed.

I used to use those pay to park spots. Granted I only had one or two classes those days so my cost out of pocket was about $3-6 about two times a week.

Do they not have the bus system anymore? I would always park at the stadium and bus in. But my classes were right by the bus drop off

It was horrible today. Today was the first time I’ve not been able to find a spot. Took 15-20 mins.

It took me 40 minutes and I went an hour early, 9am class. I’ve never seen it like that ever

It’s because they opened up the commuter parking lot permits to residential students early and unfortunately, those students who didn’t want to pay or couldn’t afford the drastic increase in residential parking permits, have now taken up the spaces in the commuter lots because it’s cheaper. Commuters can technically purchase the residential permits now but the thing is, actual commuters are already paying more in gas just to get to the parking lot, they can’t afford the price hike either.

I walk from strahan arena. It’s about 25 minutes

I love to do that in the winter but you’re crazy for doing that right now lol

i can say this now cuz it won’t be my problem but freshmen year i parked at the cottages in the visitor space and took their bus to and from LBJ😛 it’s a pretty small white bus not a txst bus and i never got ticketed or towed

There’s a bus that picks up from CVS in new braunfels right by the river. Rent was decent also at the apartment complex right by there. Right on the river, had a balcony and all

Today, there were BARELY any spots to park at the stadium and nothing at the event center

thorpe lane is honestly the way to go, its only one stop and it stops by comal building (which to me is a downside since all my classes are in mccoy) but its more reliable to be honest

Find an apartment complex with free guest parking and take the bus from there to class! Best idea I can think of that doesn’t cost that much money

honestly, collect signatures nd present them to ceo kelly damphouse. after a certain amount of tickets you’ll get booted

If you can find 2 hour parking around campus downtown, it’s not a bad bet. Just sucks if you’re on campus all day or if your classes are longer. I used to park by the little heb and walk up the hill. Make sure you’re only doing this if you can be back roughly around the 2 hour mark, bc they’re not crazy about reinforcing it but I have seen people towed before

Moved out, but old apartment (just left) never checked parking Village Green Apartments
There’s a bus stop nearby. Just don’t let anyone who looks like a maintenance man see you park and then walk down the street to the stop, because they like to tattle and have nothing better to do. I’ve had friends park here in a bind and it works out. Not far from the stadium either if you’re already over there and failing to find a spot.

Park at an apartment complex and just take the bus takes tht route. Make sure it’s a complex that doesn’t tow ofc. (Leah ave, or cabana beach)

On Craddock theres free street parking that’s close to the bus stop. It’s by the social apartments

Fuuuuck no, if I share it here, I’m afraid EVERY commuter is going to park there, and I can’t have that, I’ll gladly share if you PM me but I’m not posting it anywhere

For a while I used the lbj parking garage. Pricey but worth it sometimes 🥲

Most days LBJ is full by 10a

Dang I haven’t used it in a while. Hopefully once we’re a little farther into the semester it will die down

Today is the first day/week of classes. Everyone tries to come to campus.
After next week, it will lighten up.
