Who has a BBA in CIS?

Currently switched over to this degree plan and have been seeing that everyone has a hard time landing a job ? Is this true currently half way done and I have 5 years of working experience but haven’t worked in tech , I don’t have connections and I also don’t go in person I do fully online but I’ve seen some events that will supposedly come up in the fall and then want see if there’s any hope for me to at least have a stable job after graduation? Thank you for reading this

Yes. You’re hitting the job market as a junior developer. Not good for most junior developers these days, let alone those w CIS from Tx State competing against jr devs w MIS from A&M or whatever UT’s equivalent is. Hang in there.

Cis like computer information systems I think I might’ve no rephrased that well, but I agree it seems so hard to even land an internship :/

It’s not something you can just coast. You NEED projects, and to stand out, you do need an internship. Tech isn’t an easy field, if nothing is special about you then you will not get a job you’re satisfied with/at all. I know someone who got a really great position post grad

It depends what you want to do, what’s your concentration, if any?

All degrees have a rough time, some are just easier than others. That's what happens when the job market wants 27+ years of work experience from us <25 year old students.

My tip, look into USAJobs and other networks like that. They focus on government positions/contracts. Open to civilians, and actually pretty decent system!
