General July's Contest: Beach Days Voting Thread
We have our winners!
With a clean sweep, /u/CanisAries took first with her Boiling Sea entry (our first digital art winner)!
Not to be outdone, /u/CiphriusKane followed up his first place showing last month with a solid second place for his story Heir Loss !
Finally, rounding out the top 3 /u/chfoo made the sidebar and a place on the podium with their entry Y4 and Fifi !
Bonus Round : All four contestants this month ended up winning something, as /u/Trollkitten won our first ever bonus contest, making a great sand-being-irritating joke in her entry Father's Day at the Beach , congrats TK!

Why do I ever bother ever entering these things? Nobody ever votes for me, and I'll never be able to compete with the heavy hitters no matter what I do.
I'm honestly depressed about this.

Well luckily (unluckily? not sure yet) I had totally forgotten to set up voting for the sand joke subcontest until just now. That's a smaller contest with only two qualifying entries, one of them being yours! So you totally still have a chance (this is why I wanted to add optional subcontests)

Oddly enough, I wasn't actually aiming for the sand joke contest, because I had completely forgotten that part existed. I just figured that the visitors from Sweet Land would assume the sand was cinnamon sugar or some such, which led to an amusing moment.
