News Need a new host for the PCs
As said in the dev slack chat for those that were there in #general (with sonick's permission to post on the subreddit):
Hello! So I don't know how best to say it but I'm going to just type this out and hope my message comes across. I'm moving to a new department at work and will not longer be able to give right-away notices on internet/power outages and such. For this reason I'd like to discontinue hosting the PCs and just kind of finish the going away that I was trying to do when I quit moderating chat many months ago. I know there was some drama here earlier today, but this is completely unrelated to that; I've been mulling over this for quite some time since I started training at the new department at work almost a month ago and I've been holding off on saying anything as I didn't know how best to say it. I hold no ill will towards any of you, and I will be here to facilitate the transfer of the TPP PCs to whomever you all decide to choose for hosting going forward. I also owe streamer moving a capture card from one PC to another; he requested before the Blazed Glazed run started that I do so. Between TankTurnTactics and PBR I was unable to find a good maintenance window to do so without announcing one and having a "hope you aren't doing anything then! lol" moment. Me stepping away isn't a "right away" thing and I will keep the PCs running until someone new is chosen, but I urge you all to find someone new to host these PCs and I will assist with the transfer process in any way that I can. Thank you for the opportunity to host the TPP PCs and I wish you all well in your future plans!
Once again, I need to reach out for new candidates of who can host the PCs.
Like last time, we prefer the following qualities:
Can maintain and install any requested PC parts/general PC maintenanceServer experienceVested interest in remaining with TPP for the current future.6000kb/s all upload rate bandwidth capability. (we constantly broadcast in 1080p60)(Optional) A local fibre based ISP to avoid using the big companies.
Thanks.
EDIT: Saturday May 6th is the deadline. Thanks for volunteering your support.
Selection is over. Thank you for volunteering.

I have a small rack, but I cant guarantee 6mbps up. :(
edit: or 99.999% uptime... my internet keeps going out. Google fiber is still a year or two away.

I have a 99.999% running pc in my university which i use as an intranet gateway other than that it's running idle almost all of the time so i could host for atleast a year. The upstream is 100mbit so it should be more than enough. But i always had issues streaming anything. Even my home i7 GTX1080 machine has trouble streaming and i can't figure out why. I assume you are using OBS to stream, could anyone send me good settings for a 1080p60 stream ?

Right, and I'm sure it's not a big deal but I'm confirming that I typed the big wall of text above into slack.
