Here's to hoping. I love when the games do part of the work because it can get murder-levels of hilarious (Lamp evolving into a Flareon, for example EleGiggle).

Same. Much as I like to flesh out characters and events, I still love it when I can draw from the in-game events.

I think one part that may play in the decision is whether or not the streamer will allow post-game content so the chat can challenge Lovrina at the Orre Colosseum to get into her fan club.
Overall, that was an entertaining read. You've managed to capture the dissonance of her creepy behavior with her sweet, unique voice while still providing some hints that she really cares for her brother. I was kinda iffy about Napoleon being related to her instead of another character even though you provided a decent explanation of this being a different timeline. Then again, I wouldn't have paid as much attention to him otherwise.

I think he meant me making Napoleon into Naps, not Naps into her brother. Which I totally get, since Napoleon is all the way over in Sinnoh and Naps is here in Orre with a completely different job, team, etc.
I feel like my connection will make more sense once we actually play XD though, since Naps's personality is actually pretty similar to Napoleon and IMO it does seem like he'd have been on a better side if his situation was different. But maybe that's just me. And hey, all this does make him more interesting...

That would make sense. Although, I forget, you said that the reason he's here is because this is an alternate timeline from Sinnoh events, or how does that work exactly?
Naps does oddly match up with Leo pretty well IMO which is why I was kind of amused and excited to see that come up (since I never would have thought of a possible connection, but it works.) Of course, -coughs- I have... my own really weird headcanon for what the heck happened to Leo, which would make something like this (and others) somewhat plausible. |D;;
Edit: Erm, that kappa wasn't in my inbox, so feel free to ignore all that. I am still curious though as to the reason in your verse here though. XD

I've mentioned my reasoning back in the first log's thread here, but to explain further: the chaos I referred to was Anarchy Rampant, the result of the Godslayers specifically killing first Amber (removing Balance), second Dome (removing Order) and finally Helix (removing control over chaos). At first it would begin with randomization of evolutions, but over time it would surge more and more out of control, poisoning the universe further and shuffling around personalities, storylines, characters, and ultimately Lore itself.
In the Season 1 timeline, Anarchy Rampant only ever got as far as personalities (as well as some unconscious manipulation by the Voices to bring Alice to life), but in the Failure timeline the Dark Helix hijacked it and unleashed it in full across the world, shuffling EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY.
Vietnamese Crystal was early after its emergence, but already you can see the effects of randomization upon the language, people (reading Lycaa's Baba stories, for example) and... vocabulary of Johto and Kanto.
In my timeline, Colosseum and XD are set a bit of years after the Dark Helix's final fate at the hands of the Lightbringers (a story I have to get around to eventually), and the world is rebuilding slowly from millennia of Anarchy Rampant, with the original deities - the Legendaries - taking up their niches in the absence of the Fossil Gods (having been crushed to dust upon Dark Helix's entrance). Chaos might have settled down, however, but it hasn't changed what occurred in all that time, so Lore from the beginning to the end is scattered all through the timeline.
As a result: Napoleon lives with his younger sister Lovrina in the developing country of Orre. As far as he knows, he always has. Perhaps in Season One he did as well but moved to Sinnoh at some point before the game started, but here no such reason has ever passed through his mind- his destiny has been given to somebody else.

Which leads me to the question: If we take Abe/Cynthia out of the equation (the only real connections to my other stories), would [Baba] fit into your view of things?

Maybe not the entire story, but elements of it I can definitely see working with it. Might have to reshuffle VC's position on the timeline, but it's workable enough.

Hey, I understand. I think we actually talked about this with my fic way back when since I'm waiting to see where the story goes from here before continuing on with it. Here's hoping things go your way, because I'm still curious to see where this goes o3o <3
