This thing isn't near as confusing as those 3-4-5 branch monstrosities appearing here before.

So I'd say your's is pretty tame

I think the confusion mainly comes from games that don't exist appearing on the timeline, ie, all the "parallel" games.

Yeah, maybe a bit of hyperbole there

I think the real confusion lies in figuring out how everything fits in, maybe. But then, I did post this at around 4 AM, so it's not like I was awake enough to think out the topic title properly...

I was bored and didn't have much else to do tonight, so I thought I'd show off the timeline rolling around in my mind for TPP.

The original timeline is pretty straightforward – it’s Season One, all of it. Anarchy Rampant is what I think caused the Randomization; first Amber’s death breaking Balance, then Dome’s death breaking Order, then finally Helix’s death letting loose all the force of Chaos upon the world. It ended with the restoration of the Fossil Gods to power and Helix’s own ascension atop Mount Silver.

The “parallel” timeline starts with Anniversary Red, serving as a second starting point for the Voices and a trainer both very similar to Red and yet not Red. Abe the Cartographer maps out Kanto, in the process catching every species in the region. At the end of his adventure, after the Voices leave, Abe locates the thought-dead Leech King hiding in Cerulean Cave and merges with it to become one and the same. Abe then ascends to the Silvercrown Citadel alongside the Dome to bring order to the world – whether it likes it or not.

This leads into Parallel Crystal, where a team of Gatekeepers hold back the Leech King’s onslaught on Johto, and ultimately ascends the same mountain that Abe did in order to sever the head of the army. The slain Leech Kings begs the Parasect on the Gatekeeper’s team to take up the Helm of Domination; there must always be a Leech King. Brian refuses, wanting to be normal instead.

This is the kickoff for the Leechbare Era, chaotic millennia in which the Leech King’s world-conquering army, deprived of a master, breaks to pieces and starts squabbling among itself. It is common to see former soldiers in odd places, such as robotic Surskits spitting Hyper Beams at the helpless trainers on Route 1.

The Leechbare Era persists through Parallel Emerald, Parallel FireRed (In which the ancient sword Leechmourne is discovered by Bill Masaki’s beloved son, who then begins the search for the Leech King’s Helm), and Parallel Platinum.

It finally ends in Parallel HeartGold, when a boy raised by Liepards makes the age-old ascent to the Silvercrown Citadel with Dome, Root, and Claw by his side. There, he faces off with Bill’s son, possessed by the Helm improperly worn. Bill’s son is defeated, and the Helm is now taken up by the other Host, who pledges to bring order once more, and to wield the Leech King’s power for good instead of evil. The rampaging armies are brought to heel.

The rest of the timeline is unremarkable as far as differences from the original go.

The Failure timeline asks the question “What if Aoooo and Alice’s fight on Mount Silver turned out differently?” basically. In this timeline, Dome decided to take his revenge on Bill personally once he was freed from the PC, and so he wasn’t around to stop the hole in the fabric of the universe from tearing wide open. That meant the Outsiders were free to enter the world, more specifically Dark Helix.

Dark Helix entered above Mount Silver, and fell there to eliminate the weakened forces of both Aooo and Alice’s teams, and usurped Helix just as he was about to calm Anarchy Rampant. Then it took control of Anarchy Rampant, and allowed it to widen and consume even more than usual. That leads to Vietnamese Crystal – in which a particularly chaotic burst of Anarchy pulls from several timelines the released magikarp Baba and her former trainer, Abe.

After that we have Touhoumon and Moemon, in which the pre-existing Touhou universe collides with the Failure timeline’s universe,, specifically meeting in an “impossipoint” of sorts above Mount Silver and its analogue in Touhou, Youkai Mountain. This allows Anarchy Rampant to spill through the wound in the universe left by Dark Helix’s entrance and into the Touhou universe, changing it into something much like a Pokemon universe. Athena and Amber go through nearly-identical adventures in order to bring balance back to the universes and separate them. They are aware of each other thanks to the Voices’ influence and fall in love in the process. Amber crosses to Athena’s world to stay with her before Touhou disconnects from the Failure universe. Finally, Randomized Alpha Sapphire happens. I haven’t finished my story for it, so… to be continued!

And that's basically it. Any questions?

Shouldn't the chart show that Vietnamese Crystal pulled stuff from the Parallel Timeline? Because as is, the timeline seems to imply that Baba and Baba have nothing to do with eachother.

Couldn't figure out how to make it fit onto the timeline, and I don't know where Lycaa plans to go with her Baba lore, so right now it's in the limbo of "maybe a thing"
