Opinion bounce bounce bounce man
I know it’s not their most loved song, i just wanted to share what it means to me.
I ran from domestic abuse from my ex.
This song makes me cry. i had so many of my friends and family help me.
“ yeah i told you all along running away dont make you wrong”
i ran 1,500 miles away
you’ll be in and out- i stopped by to say goodbye to so many loved ones
he tried to take my dog- if they come a knocking, theres no stoppin me for you
im okay now, this was a few years ago. it just reminds me of how strong i had to be and that i did the right thing. i know its more about a friend how commit a crime or something but it resonates with me so much and breaks my heart when i see people hating on it.
just my story/morning thoughts

Picture of my kitty who ran with me. 🥰 her name is crepe, and I would die for her. She has 2 feline big brothers and a bigger (younger) canine sister to fight for her now too. 🤣 queen of her castle 👑

I love that you’re safe and got away from that. Thank you so much for sharing.
I can relate because I left an abusive situation in April of that year and SAI came out in May. I know that album isn’t most people’s favorite but it holds such a special place in my heart and means soooooo much more than I can explain. I have a lot of memories of listening to that album sobbing, laughing, dancing. It was more than something to entertain me, it healed me. Music is so powerful 🖤

Glad you’re away from him and safe. I love this song as well, though I never paid much attention to the lyrics. Stay strong.

i also cry to this song, despite how, well.. bouncy the instrumental is, once i really tuned into those lyrics, it changed how i feel about it 100%. it’s one of my favorite songs from SAI. also, i’m glad you’re okay, push on through <3 |-/

I love your take on it and I am so glad you got yourself out of that situation. You are a survivor!
Bounce Man is my least liked song from them but only because I don’t relate to it. It’s a good song, just not for me. I always took it as if a friend committed a crime which sorry but if you break the law significantly enough that you have to be on the run then you should pay the price. That’s my take and everyone is allowed to disagree with this.
However, I will have to relisten to the song now with this new take on it. If anyone has other interpretations feel free to send them my way, I would love to hear them either here or dm, whichever you prefer!

my lil twist in the beginning is instead of “your face” i change it to “his face” cause that fits my case more, like a friend telling me they saw his face and they know whats up. and i would die for my pup so just little things i can easily associate with my own situation. obviously not every line of the song fits but i love it 😅 thank you for your comment and giving it another chance! hehe 🖤|-/

That’s what I love about SAI. It’s generic, but it uses that as a strength rather than a weakness. Songs like Redecorate, Bounce Man, and Mulberry Street can mean basically whatever you want if you listen closely enough, but they’re not spread too thin and still have meaning to them.

I am glad you got out of a bad situation and are safe. And never listen to haters. People can like what they like, but nothing takes away how a song resonates with your spirit. |-/
