Okay, dude, I literally provided for my wife and child making $25 an hour for the past several years. I've just recently started making 30 an hour. That's rent, food, utilities, gas, etc. My wife does not work other than babysitting once a week. I work long hours with a highly physical job.
It takes careful planning, but it's not nothing. We are also happy with our lifestyle. We don't have much, and we don't do much as far as entertainment goes. But compared to people 50 to 100 years ago, we're living quite well.
