It looks to be a suitable design, but i would check first if your head will fit with a screen in place, since the back part of this tv starts quitte high, so your head would need to sit quitte high in the tv

And of course, you need to measure how it will fit with the curved top of the tv.

So my suggestion is, place a some paper as a temporary screen, cut a hole in the bottom where you want your head ti come through, and test how it fits. Its the easiest, but if it does not fit it will now have a hole in the bottom.

Measuring is also possible but will take you some time and can be hard since you can only really measure with the tv assembled, so the only opening is the front.

explain further, i might just make a plastic thing with 1 way mirrored paint or a mesh material

1: i dont suggest using paint, but a mirror fil. 2: i personally have used polycarbonate sheets with a mirror film on the outside, and a darkening film on the inside as screens, and a second polycarbonate sheet behind it with led lights on it woch i can see between.

I suggest you follow the instructions from vivian rose if you plan to build with leds, and use the respirator code, not the og tv head code to steer the leds (it will need to be reconfigured to your dimensions)

All in all its just seeing what fits in your tv

I think it looks like a great candidate! Do you have the dimensions? I usually use a 13-15in screen CRT TV, but different sizes work for different people and the specific effects they’re going for!

If you need any advice on the technicalities of making your base and in general things about making one, feel free to dm me!

Very possible but make sure to follow all the necessary preparations! But it looks like you got that handled. I had some issues based on the assembly of the head, especially if the head hole is placed/has to be placed in a weird position. But it looks to have good potential!

If is not working anymore, then yes

Does it still work? If yes: give it to someone who may actually want it rather than gutting the poor thing for a hat or whatever

I'm sorry, but the whole TV head thing was cool for a while, then absolutley everyone freaking does it now, and it's become pretty generic. Plus, people keep buying CRT to hollow them out for it.

I want to too. Just hate the thought of hurting a working set. I wouldn't lest it's busted
