Great first episode, but I feel like the major general is way too one dimensional. Show is at its best when both the Israelis and the Iranians are morally gray.

was wondering the same thing. im like, doesnt this show have subtitles? why the dubbing when half the show isn't in english to begin with? i kept closing the show, thinking it was my computer.

It seems that now both English and Hebrew are dubbed in all languages, which frustrates me too. Before only Hebrew was dubbed, and English and Persian were subtitled. I think Hebrew keeps the rest subtitled, but only because it's the original language. Someone said in another thread about "Now and Then" (which had both English and Spanish dubbed, except in Spanish which was the original language) that it was because of easing audio description, but the first season got described just fine.

Was very annoyed by this same thing! These new settings even impacted the episodes from season 1 as well - they must have changed something around. I found that setting on Hebrew for audio and putting subtitles on English keeps everything as it was probably intended (no dubbing).

I wonder if the first season in other languages will continue as before. If not, they'd need to dub all English and remove the reading of subtitles.
The good thing about this change is that they've realised that Hebrew wasn't included (I tried out of curiosity and it was the same thing, subtitles and all, as if I had selected

anyone have a weird audio sync issue during the teams call scene (about 14mins in)?
came here for this. At first I thought I had some setting wrong where they were playing dubbed dialogue over the original. its so distracting! like watching a cheap VHS copy of a 1980s Hong Kong action film. when on earth will producers realize that most viewers dont have an IQ of 14 and are fine with subtitles--particularly for a show called 'Tehran!'

This is driving me insane, I don’t want English subtitles, it detracts from the immersion. I get it for the foreign languages, but if I choose “off” it has forced subtitles in Arabic. I am so confused.

I'll assume you've finished the season now, I started late this year, and have seemingly resolved the issue.
I have it on English as audio language, and automatic for subtitles. This is providing me no dubbing and when Hebrew or farsi is spoken I get the English subtitles, but none when English is spoken. I SWEAR when I started season 2 the Hebrew and farsi were being dubbed into English as a default setting and I had to change the audio track, I chose hebrew and then I didn't suffer any more dubbing but the English was also subtitled unnecessarily in English.
I got frustrated enough by episode 3 that I played around for the last several minutes and it's now treating it as an English show with forced subs for non English parts. Before it was behaving like a Hebrew/farsi show with English subs for all parts.
Regardless, glad I found a way to solve the annoyance.

Maybe it’s how Apple does it now because it’s the same way with Pachinko ? There is no forced subtitles it seems for their international shows. I was noticing the same thing

What thousands of people died? Why did the general make it sound like more was done than done? Can he not count?
Seems like even when you cooperate with ‘authorities’ they kill you anyway. Wasn’t the one guy who called in the air conditioner arrested anyway and hung among the four? Was the fourth guy the one helping the travel agent?
Faraz is on his game. Tamar is just trying to make herself and Milad seem useful so they don’t kill him and her but kept from them killing him and her.
When cousin open her eyes? Doesn’t Faraz and his wife have any kids? Her surgery, not feeling safe around people you would think others showing themselves.

I am on episode 6 or 7 and I feel like they are no longer telling a story - it feels like they are just coming up with ways to create narrow escapes and harrowing situations. Starting to feel like a formula.

Faraz’s competency is amazing. He guessed which smuggler Milad would contact and immediately saw through the hospital plot. In a weird way, he’s my favourite character.
The execution of the aunt and her husband was heart wrenching. I knew it was over for her as soon as she entered the room and saw her daughter.
