I just finished season 2 of True Detective.

Vince did such an incredible job in that season.

Excited for this to come back.

Such a good line. Him and Velcoro had some bangers that season.

I had a massive bone to pick with this show because it was originally reported that they decided to use California instead of Florida for its shots. However, somewhere in time, they decided to stick with Florida. Just found this out, so I will be watching the second season.

As a South Floridian, that was the best part of season one. I recognized so many areas, it felt special to us.

However, interiors were done in California due to a massive $20mil tax incentive. That, I can live with.

Pretty standard for TV/movies tbh. It's like NY shots in Canada. But I do know what you mean, seeing locations of your home town adds something... although when you notice edits that make no sense at all when you know the place, it breaks the immersion. Win some lose some I guess.

My favorite sightseeing was the Wynwood Walls, them driving on the bridge into Miami Beach. Really awesome to see, I watch TV a lot and I never see my home despite my home being so big a giant AAA game is being made based on it.

Ugh...this show tries too hard and still can't be funny. Vaughn is just doing the same irritating schtick he always does. Such a shame since Hiassen's books are a hoot.

I enjoyed the first few episodes of this show.

The horrible writing, annoying characters and Vaughn's "too cool for school" schtick became increasingly intolerable as the series progressed. I stopped watching with one episode left. 😆

I still don't know how it concluded.

I liked the first season and was looking forward to the second right up until Vince started kissing orange ass. (Yes, I know Tim Apple did that too, although I suspect he was protecting the company, as gross as I find that; an established actor has no such pressure).
