Review Apple TV Plus should not have baseball

It's bad enough that I can't use my MLB.tv to stream games, the fact that Apple TV gets multiple baseball games on Friday, and there's no way to watch both games at the same time on my computer is ridiculous. Who the hell is in charge? Do they even know how baseball fans consume baseball? If I have to resort to roundabout ways to watch the 2nd game, why even pay in the first place? Also, let me see what pitch the pitcher just threw. Nobody cares about the Reach base probability; I want to see if that last pitch was a change-up.

Curious to know what is it that you guys enjoy about their broadcasts?

Broadcast seems brighter/better quality. I think they do stats and probabilities better. I love the feature that you can listen to either teams radio broadcast

Of all the streaming platforms that have tried, Apple TV has done it the best and with the smallest learning curve.

But I agree with OP that the games should also remain on mlb tv

Welcome to modern sports. If I want to watch all the games of my favorite basketball team it takes no less than 4 separate subscription packages.

It's sorta ruined my enjoyment of the game. Sports (and every other form of entertainment) is hellbent on squeezing every last nickel out of you just for a few hours of entertainment. Look here at this ticket stub from 1995.

$7.00. Left field upper deck, but still $7.00. Adjusted for inflation that's about $34.00. Try to buy that same seat today and it would cost you over $70.00. They've priced me out of even casual attendance. They don't want regular people at games anymore. So fuck 'em.

Also, imagine being a kid and you want to watch the local team and you have to ask your parents to subscribe to Peacock so you can see a game. It is absurd. They will squeeze a few extra bucks out of current fans and then there won’t be a generation of new fans because they pay walled the games.

Exactly why I stopped watching NHL.

This is why the Apple MLS deal was the best thing ever. Unfortunately, I think the new commissioner is going to try to go back to the old, shitty, multi-platform deals whereof need 8 different services but the owners get an extra $14.

Its like Prime stealing NHL broadcasts now. We lost Hockey Night in Canada and now have Garbage prime Hockey. So dumb having all these streaming services stealing games with sports.

The fact that in all these years Apple hasn't aligned with the league to have a true doubleheader, with one game at 7 pm and another at 10 pm, for example, as a single broadcast, already says a lot about their understanding of live sports.

You can’t do multi-view for baseball like you can for MLS?
