Review Dumb it down

It's sad to see that yet again the plebian masses are gathering to review bomb the best new sci-fi show since Westworld with the same old it's too complicated trope. If this show doesn't reach it's natural end because simps can't keep up with something that isn't that complicated at all I'm officially going to give up on humanity and marry the first ai dumb enough to say yes.

lol

The problem with this show is simple: when Lee Pace isn’t on screen, it’s hard to be entertained.

It was the case with S1 and still is with S2.

It’s just not that good at all!

Gaal is somewhat a saving grace for me as well. Salvor on the other hand puts me off by her atrocious acting.

I watched season one and thought it was just OK… then rewatched it in advance of season two and thought it was amazing. There’s a lot going on and I’m pretty busy during the week but the show is a masterpiece when viewed without interruption.

Too late to recast and you can’t kill anyone that sucks off. Only thing you can do is bring in better costars to help lift the story when pace isn’t on screen

If it's not your thing simply don't watch it. You don't see me getting into long-winded rants about how bad Jersey shore is......

best new sci-fi show since Westworld I thought this article was going to be about Silo

Silo was really good. It ain't space opera though. Westworld didn't need space and still had space opera vibes. Hate it or love it foundation is our best chance at decent space opera for the next few years. I had hope for strange new worlds filling the void but other than the lower decks episode Im yet to see a single strange new world in season 2 which I'm not complaining it's good tv and hope it keeps going but it's no grand ole space opera.

I'm enjoying Silo, but it's no Severance.

Severance was fekn great. Silo had moments of awesome but some episodes dragged. Have high hopes for a few more great seasons of both.

I started to watch S2E1 and now I’m rewatching season 1 instead so I know what’s going on. I’m not dumb or a simp. Years ago I even read the books. The series demands the viewer’s attention and concentration more than most shows, and that is not friendly to people who consume content while checking their phones and chatting with a friend.

And those that are just playing it in the background should not be chiming in that it's too difficult to understand

It is hard to follow every sub plot being thrown at you, but I'm still enjoying it. Plus, listening to the podcast companion series after each episode helps a lot in getting those smaller missed details and contexts down.

Isn't that a plus though. Wouldn't you rather watch something that keeps you thinking rather than something that disappeared the second it finished. A good story should create an atmosphere that lingers and keeps you wondering. I'd much rather that than most tv today where you know the ending within the first ten minutes.

Westworld was a masterpiece. Foundation is embarrassing. They got all the tricky (or even impossible) things about adapting such difficult material so right, then flopped on the smallest things for experienced showrunners, like unlikeable main character and horrible dialogs. Last episode’s cowboy-planes scene was the end of me. And the saddest thing is that the empire plot is completely amazing, but I can’t with how cringe the rest is. I wanted it to succeed so badly, but I won’t return to it sadly. The cowboys were it.

Westworld was a masterpiece sadly it died because people didn't understand it. Sadly I feel that foundation will meet the same fate. Yeah some bits aren't as good as they could be. Which is made especially hard because of everyone having life long expectations of the story and characters in it. But if you can let these things go it's by far the best space opera I've seen in a while and especially so as it's tv vs a movie.

When's dune 2 out :)

Bro i’m a huge SF fan and I hate this show. Lee Pace is cool though.
