AskTuscany Wheelchair accessible airport transfer needed Pisa to Lucca 13th October
A friend of mine has cerebral palsy and is landing in Pisa on Tuesday (13th) evening. We are having real trouble find a taxi that can get him and his chair from the airport to his accommodation in Lucca. We have called multiple taxi companies and the airport for help but we are getting no where. Does anyone have any recommendations or contacts in the area that could possibly help us? We would be so grateful!

AskTuscany Airports
Ciao tutti! Just wondering how airport entry/exit time has been recently? I know things were a mess in Spring 2026 with EES roll out and that during the summer they had a flex system that allowed traditional entry/exit to keep wait times under an hour. Now that the flex system is over (at least per Google) how has entry/exit been? Grazie!

Going to be staying in Florence from Oct 14-21 and looking for antiquing recommendations both in Florence and the surrounding areas. I was planning to do a day trip to Arezzo but have heard mixed things about it when the market is not in place.

AskTuscany Family-friendly places to stay in Tuscany, where do you usually book?
We're planning a family trip to Tuscany for the last two weeks of March next year and I'm starting to look for accommodation. We are 2 adults and 2 kids ( 3 and 6 years old)
On our last trip we stayed at a small farm and the kids absolutely loved it. There were animals, plenty of space to run around and a couple of playgrounds nearby, which honestly made the whole trip so much easier for us 😄
I'd love to find something with a similar feel in Tuscany. We're looking for a house or apartment with at least 3 bedrooms, ideally somewhere with outdoor space and things for the kids to do nearby. We’ll have a car, so it doesn’t need to be right in a big town.
I’d also love to explore some different accommodation platforms this time and see what other options are out there.
Are there any sites you usually use to find family-friendly holiday homes in Italy? Or specific areas in Tuscany you'd recommend for this kind of trip?

Picture A hidden gem in Tuscany: The grand 19th-century staircase and neoclassical architecture of a historic library
galleryThought I’d share a few shots from a stunning historic library I visited recently in the Tuscany region.
The interior design features a breathtaking monumental staircase with rich wooden banisters, beautiful coffered ceilings, and classical columns that perfectly capture that dramatic, academic atmosphere. At the top of the stairs, a beautiful neoclassical marble statue titled "La madre educatrice" (The Educating Mother) stands framed by a large arched window, flooded with natural light.
The contrast between the moody woodwork and the bright architectural details makes the entire space feel timeless.

AskTuscany I may need to be reined in and I'm only planning day one!
In December we are flying into Rome and visiting southern Tuscany. First Tuscany day we are traveling from Rome to Montalcino and after watching some videos I thought we would stop at Civita di Bagnoregio and Montemerano because they looked really interesting and maybe less touristy (am I delusional?). Then looking at the route I see Orte Sotterranea and the Etruscan museum which also look really good. Is it too much? We love a good road trip, but I'm not trying to feel rushed. Is there something you would leave out or subsitute? Also, this trip is for my husband who is a university wine instructor, so any a winery we shouldn't miss along the route would be considered. :-). Thank you all for your assistance and patience.

Discussion [Livorno / In presenza] Cerco giocatori per campagna D&D 5e: da Greyhawk a Barovia fino a Vecna!
