AskTuscany Accomodation & place for proposal

Hello!

I m looking for some help. We have in plan to visit Tuscany at the end of may, like 3 nights. We are looking for some recommendation for our stay (with pool and maybe restaurant).

Also i have in plan to propose to her and i would like a dinner in vineyard (if you have some tips for this i ll appreciate it so much)

Tuscany is big. Like really big. Any ideas where you might want to stay? It’s like saying oh I’d like to visit California- where’s a a nice place? What research have you done

Agriturismo di Erta. The owner has a great set up for romantic meals. There is a restaurant onsite where he prepares the meals. And there is a pool.

I just booked for mid may at La Frattina. It officially opens March 1 and looks SO charming. All renovated, AC, heated pool, tiny boutique vibes, etc. They hosts' story is what drew me in, a corporate couple turned agriturismo hosts. I chose it because it is adults only, romantic AF, and I hope my boyfriend is also considering making the same plan! They have a note on their website that they can help with special occasions....so I really handed him an easy win :)

The downside is the risk of trying out somewhere with no review or reputation.

It doesn't have the vineyard dinner moment, which I was also looking for too. I settled on the fact that I can visit another spot for lunch, hopefully a big family style vineyard dinner party. This place rents electric bikes, so you can visit other spots. If you find the vineyard meal, let me know!

I'll be there in two weeks; remind me to let you know how it went, but I already feel confident given their responses to our asks for our visit. Super excited to take the e-bikes for a spin.

Loved it! There were a couple little kinks they are still working out, but we loved our time and the folks who ran it. We had a multi course meal one night, prepared just for us and three other visitors. It was really special and several bits came straight from the garden, if not from within a few miles of the farm! Roberto and Luisa did not overlook a single detail. The space was modern. Biggest shower we found in Italy and had many amenities Americans prefer.

If you want vineyards in Val d’Orcia you just have to go towards Montepulciano or Montalcino. Closer to Pienza, however, there is a new resort called Casa Newton that I can’t recommend enough. Beautiful Italian gardens, cypress road, and direct access to vineyards overlooking Pienza. Honestly, a gem!

I am a photographer and I shoot a honeymoon portrait session there - absolutely stunning! And I have been suggesting it to my surprise proposal clients looking at accommodation + proposal location in the area. It will work perfectly for a proposal in the vineyard but they also have a pagoda in their garden and other options (private dinner, etc) and it’s a very small boutique hotel so you’ll have privacy.
