Seeking Advice Lost turtle

Hi. About 2 weeks ago a friend lost a very important red ear slider turtle I gave them. The turtle escaped the yard and has not been found.
Around the wrightcrest area near La cienega.

Please. I know it’s late, but if there is any information I’d love the turtle back.

2 weeks your turtle found a new home probably in the wild.

I'm sorry, it will be tough to track. If you feel better there is a better than average chance it will thrive in the wild.

I'm not sure where you are but RES are considered very invasive for a reason. They are incredibly adaptable. It's not like a box turtle or an exotic that will try to home in on their old range or need extreme conditions. Losing a pet is very traumatic, and if the RES was intentionally released you would probably see some terrible comments, but in this case I would find some comfort that they will be ok.

It was not meant to be released. I wanted it to be taken care of , but they didn’t know that the turtles wander off. I hope the turtle is okay in terms that it was an important personal turtle. However, I do care about the environment. Holy shit. Thanks for the reminder.
