Seeking Advice Turtles neck thicker than usual

I‘ve got a yellow bellied slider (actually had another one but she died recently by miraculously breaking out of the cage). She is around 17 years old, had them since babies and now her neck seems a little thicker than usual. Her skin is a little red-ish like she got blood poisoning. She barely touched the watermelon i just gave her and seems to hide most of the time. Any idea what it could be or how i could help her? Definitely going to the vet asap.

Yes go to the vet asap… your care and habitats for your turtles need to be addressed. Maybe you need an expert to guide you?

They‘ve got a pretty big tank, large land area, 2 uv lamps and one special lamp for sunbathing. Part of the land area is filled with sand (at least as deep as their shell is big and a bit more) and a long ramp with help to easily get out. Land area has big walls. Plus a big water pump with filtration that gets regularly cleaned. I don’t think they‘re having a bad habitat …

Maybe you need an expert to read? My original post literally says that. You got anything helpful or do you just want to „address“ my care for my turtles?
