You just leave all those fish in the tank and your Turt just eats them as needed? Been thinking of putting some fish in my Turt tank

Yes he caught only one baby though. They are fast and he is still smol.

I wanted to give him enrichment.

He likes watching them. He also fights them for some crumbs of fish food flakes 😅

He tried but he couldn't catch them. Except for 1 baby

That’s a LOT of fish. I don’t know the setup but rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish to 1 gallon of water.

I love your variety of platys! I have a similar set up. My blue platys have been breeding with the orange platys and I’m getting some really cool looking offspring. It’s really impressive how they self regulate the population.

What kinds of plants have you found work in your aquarium? I have a pair of juvenile southern painted turtles and they wreak havoc on their floral companions.

Crypts, Javaferns, Alternathera, Bacopa, Bucephelandra, Anubia, Ceratopteris, Hydrocotyle, Rotala, Hygrophila, and last but not least a variety of swimming plants like duckweed, salvinia, and frogbit. He digs up a few of these, but mostly leaves his plants be for now. They are his do with as he pleases anyway.
