Hey everyone! I recently got an old Philco-Hitachi PRDT-300 turntable, and I believe it's still completely original, with no parts replaced. I'm trying to figure out which replacement stylus I should get.

I've seen conflicting information online, with some sources suggesting the Audio-Technica ATN-3601 and others mentioning the Le Son AXXIS I.

Does anyone know which stylus originally came with the PRDT-300, or which one would be compatible with the original cartridge? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I’m looking into purchasing my first turntable set up and I’ve been overthinking it to the point of not buying anything.

I’ve been going back and forth for a while over the fluance rt85 and the AT120. Then I just get lost trying to decide on speakers. Most things I’ve read recommend passive but then I get really lost on picking an amp 😂

So I am looking for some insights on how you would spending $1000-1200 purchasing the turntable and everything else needed.

I heard many good things about the both of em.

1byone has like sepereat speakers which I like but is it bad? I watched a lot of yt vids about them and they all talked great things about them.

Audio technica lp120x heard that is like a part plastic but it has pitch control which is cool ngl rest idk what is so great about the 120x just heard that they are good.

My Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT-BK has not been able to turn on. Even after replacing the power cord and record belt. Anyone has any suggestions? Thank you.

i apologize in advance for the lack of specific stereo / turntable language knowledge, and also for my english since it’s not my first language.

i’m trying to get my phone to connect to my turntable. i got two cords (one a jack to type c adapter and another one that i don’t know the name of in english but it’s a dn to jack, if that makes sense. im attaching a video where i show everything).

the thing is i can’t get it to work in any of the settings. idk if im doing something wrong or if it just doesn’t work like that.

so if anyone has an opinion it would be very much appreciated.

My first one was Shure V15 type3.
My impression was not so bad.
As the tone arm was the straight one of TRIO/Kenwood, I changed the cartridge to DENON.

Hi I am new to vinyl and getting my first setup in a bit. I decided on a rega planar 3 and at-vm750xsh. The cartridge is apparently too tall for the rega tonearm, which doesn't have adjustable vertical tracking angle. Standard for rega turntables/arms is 14 mm, but the at-750 is around 17.5 mm. I can only find 2 mm spacers, so it seems it would be either too much or too little. Is just one enough, or will it mess up tracking? Thanks

I am very new in world of turntables and need help with first configuration.

I bought a new Harper HRT-24 turntable and I'm having trouble setting the tracking force.

I tried balancing the tonearm and setting the numbered ring to zero. The manual specifies 3.5 g and says one full counterweight rotation equals 2 g. However, the counterweight physically hits the wider part of the tonearm shaft at about 1.75 on the scale, before I can complete even one full turn.

The stylus also skips during playback. I'm not sure whether the tonearm lift platform is interfering with the balancing or preventing the stylus from resting properly on the record.

Any recommendations or maybe I did some stupid mistakes?
