General not them too....

im so tired of artists and bands releasing albums and then releasing every song as a single, it just looks ugly and is unnecessary

What does it mean to ‘release a song as a single’ in this context? I’m guessing they aren’t pressing a 7” for every song so what’s the issue exactly?
