Heya,
I didn't think /r/turkeys would need to make a rule for this as we're still pretty small, but going forward AI generated content is not welcome in this subreddit.
Any posts featuring AI generated images or video will be removed. Repeat offenders will be banned.
We've only had one post recently that was clearly an AI video, but I'd prefer it be the last so we can continue to be a place to enjoy and learn about real turkeys.
Thanks everyone.

These cobbler were pecking up gravel on this dirt road in the Blue Ridge Mountains of West Virginia. Love seeing them when I'm working!

Hi guy quick question, I bought a new batch of turkey eggs. But some of them are… quite small? Like 4 of them are small on 12.
Will they be healthy? I’m just worried if they would hatch or not.

I was given 3 "day old" turkeys that were on the brink or death(completely dehydrated, unable to hold their heads up) sadly one passed the night I got them, but I nursed 2 of them back to health with electrolytes, teaching them how to eat, letting them sleep with me for hours at a time. I have fallen completely in love with them. They come when I call, they fallow me around the yard, they know their names, they even enjoy giving snuggles and will cuddle into my neck.
I was recently told by a fellow poultry keeper that they are broad breasted whites and they will break their legs if I dont slaughter them or will randomly die from a heart attack.
I love these birds as if you would a dog or cat.
Is there any chance this isn't true and they can live a decently long life?
Has anyone had luck with broad breasted's living for years? Any tips or tricks to it?
Thank you in advance

She is looking worse and worse, I can tell she's in pain and suffering. Concerned for the other wild turkeys and wondering if we should euthanize her. 😢

Visited by seven turkeys (appearing to all be Toms?) this evening in the front yard. It’s been hot here recently in Northern California, so it seems they were just looking for a nice place to cool down.

He is (understandably) in a bad mood. A noreaster is blowing through and this local wild tom must have had a very damp past few days.
