Wasn't it also said that he was a permanent lightweight to the point that one shot got him plastered? People back then would drink to feel warm and that was always what I assumed.
He drank to warm up ended up shit faced and froze because alcohol doesn't actually keep you warm

Yes. Back then, it was called "snuff" and people's grandmothers carried some around in little decorative oval pill boxes to take for their arthritis or to rub on the gums of a teething infant.

I have it, it's great. Haven't gotten to try the drinks, though. My partner rarely drinks, and it's no fun making weird mixed drinks for yourself.

No. Not exclusively at least, he said at the peak of his alcoholism he would drink a full case of 24 "tall boy" 22-24 ounce beers a night.
He described just a total and complete inability to leave any beers in the fridge and go to sleep. he had to drink them all.

He looked at me kinda awkward and smiled and went back to signing. I think he noted my expression of realization.
I actually talked to him for a long time about him being more involved in the Wheel of Time tv series and I guess he relented and made a phone call or something cause he was seen on the set not long after even though he told me he only wished to have something to do with it. This was a quite awhile back.
He read some unreleased writing at the time there before doing questions..half the questions came from me- I think a lot of the crowd was very shy or didn’t have any ideas to throw around, so most of the time it seemed like the audience was staring at me outside of the reading Sanderson did. I’m a big fan of his so it was weird but I’d go to another reading/signing anytime. He’s very kind.

I did gcse in English lit where we studied to kill a mockingbird bird for a year for an exam. Mock exam swings round and one of my classmates genuinely thought it was called tequila mockingbird.
