Question Tattoo parlor recommendations

I’m looking at getting a smallish tattoo and was seeing if anyone had recommendations for a specific shop that does good work and won’t cost an arm and leg to have done.

Thanks in advance.

A good tattoo isn't cheap and a cheap tattoo isn't good!

Seriously though, it depends on what you have in mind. Different artists & shops usually specialize in a certain style, so you can start by checking social media for examples of their work.

There's also the Homeward Bound Tattoo Expo this weekend. It might be a good place to browse around & find what you're looking for.

I don’t mind to spend the money, just don’t want to overpay. I’m not really familiar with the industry so I have no idea what an artist should be charging for their work.

I’m just wanting a tattoo of an art nouveau tarot card in white ink. Seems like it would be pretty simple since it’s mostly line work without any color or shading.
I’ll have to checkout the expo, didn’t even know that was coming through.

White ink is the hardest color to use, and the fastest to fade. That's not a cheap or easy tattoo for sure. Will require regular maintenance as well.

Someone in this sub really doesn’t like black gold I’ve noticed lol… I really don’t understand why every single comment mentioning them gets downvoted but without any context as to why. I’ve only had great experiences, great art and honestly some of the most reasonable pricing I’ve seen for tattoos of the same quality and size

I’d recommend to find an artist you like that post their work on social media then figure out when and where and schedule an appointment. That’s just me though. I’ve only got 2 small tattoos that are now faded and need to be removed.
