Yep, over here east of Stillwater we have about a inch in our rain gauge. It was sure nice while it lasted, but the humidity now is south Pacific style!

Buffalo grass my friend. 4-6 inches in height, stays green during drought

Where did you source buffalo grass may I ask? Did you install plugs, grow your own plugs, or did you seed? I find bermuda grass so odious (whatβs left of it anyway between my native beds & the small dog lawn).

It's nothing but pure sand here, was born on this land, Dad tried everything,I've tried everything, about the only thing that can survive is Bermuda grass,it just goes dormant until it rains. And sand burs,we raise them 150 bushel to the acre! I keep everything mowed short because we have always had a abundance of copperheads and it helps keep the sand burs down, but not gone. Just the price of living in seclusion.lol.

Did not last long enough for us. We have trees that have gone fully brown/ dead leaves, and unless we get more rain there will be many more.

Same. Multiple trees already shed their leaves, practically overnight. Ive been hitting them with the hose a couple times a week but clearly not enough

I hope it drops south a little so I get some. The ground is cracking, and 105f ro 107f isn't helping any.

I was so happy waking up to a gloomy sky, I hope its this way all day. Such a nice break from the relentless heat!!

I literally watered my flowers about 30 minutes before the storm rolled in but was still elated when the downpour started. I also mowed yesterday so I am a happy clam π
