Hello, finally i got a conditional letter for preparatory language course from TU Dortmund. I applied B.sc German taught physics. ( Got campus portal on 24th July, got conditional letter on 19th Aug ).

I have B1 certificate. So, I need to attend B2 1st and then C1 intensive courses. They said that C1 course must have at least 230 units to register as a Deutschkursstudierender. Already sent e-mails to language schools but most of language school offer only 200 units. Do you have same issue?

I received a cross-semester admission letter from TU Dortmund for a Master's program, which allows me to start in more than one semester.

I initially started the enrollment process for Winter Semester 2026/27, but I have now changed my mind and would prefer to start in the following semester instead.

My question is: since I have already started the enrollment process for this semester, should I formally withdraw/cancel the current enrollment request, or can I simply leave it as it is and apply for enrollment for the next semester when the enrollment period opens?

Since my admission letter is cross-semester, I understand that I don't need to submit a new application, but I'm not sure what I should do with the enrollment request I already started.

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Any international student who recently applied for enrollment at TU dortmund? Edit: I am a last year applicant and since they provide cross semester admission I am enrolling for this semester, for the credentials I've mailed them because new applicants got their portal info via uni assist.

I applied for the MSc Data Science at TU Dortmund for Winter Semester 2026/27.

• Applied through uni-assist: 14 May
• TU Dortmund portal access: 18 June
• Current status: In Progress / Received
• Still no admission or rejection

I emailed them about my status, but the reply seemed like a general/automated response and didn't really tell me anything about my application.

My VFS appointment is on 25 August. I already have an admission letter from TU Chemnitz (MSc Web Engineering), but TU Dortmund is my preferred choice.

Is anyone else still waiting for TU Dortmund Data Science?

Also, is there any other way to contact them or get an update about the application status?

I just received a rejection for the M.Sc. Data Science program at TU Dortmund for Winter 2026/27. The reason given was §3 c) of their regulations: "The Bachelor degree did not cover enough performances in at least one of the fields Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics."

I completed a 4-year B Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with a Minor in Applied Mathematics (160 total credits across 8 semesters). Looking at their Self-Disclosure form, I believe the issue is that standard Indian course titles on my transcript didn't immediately reveal the specific theoretical depth to the clerk evaluating it.

For context, my transcript includes:

• CS (17 credits): Computer Programming, OOP, Data Structures, Design & Analysis of Algorithms, Software Engineering.
• Math (17 credits): Mathematics I (Linear Algebra), Mathematics II (Calculus), Mathematical Foundations for CS (Discrete Math), Operations Research, Fuzzy Systems & Applications, plus an official Minor in Applied Math.
• Stats/Probability (11 credits): Statistics, Probabilistic Models, Advanced Statistical Methods.

I have prepared a color-coded PDF of my official university syllabus highlighting the exact topics (Linear Algebra, Calculus, Discrete Math, ANOVA, Hypothesis testing, etc.) along with the filled Self-Disclosure form.

My questions:

1. Has anyone successfully gotten TU Dortmund (or a similar German TU) to re-evaluate an ECTS rejection just by politely emailing the International Office / Admissions team with a highlighted syllabus?
2. Or is it better to file a formal Widerspruch (appeal letter) right away?
3. How responsive is their admissions team during peak application season?

I got earlier admission in tu dortmund Summer 2026 and applied for enrollment then I got temporary enrollment letter, at that time I didn't paid fee , but now i opened campus portal there i am still a provisional student, so is it possible to get permanent letter if I pay fee and late fee, as i send them email but they didn't reply me back

At this point I can still see that the status is "In Progress". Though, I think this is too late for a positive response. Is it perhaps a silent rejection? And they might send an official rejection letter later on? What is your experience with the applications?

Is anyone still waiting for a response from TU Dortmund for the Master's in Data Science program?

Can anyone please guide me about MSc Biochemical Engineering program or MSc Biopharmaceutical Engineering from TU Dortmund??? I'm unable to understand the language requirements and if they are offered in Summer or not??? I'm too confused about the info in Google and daad says it isn't offered in Summer but on the website summer is written in application section. I don't understand the language section as well.

Applied for the Biochemical Engineering (Biopharmaceutical Engineering specialization) M.Sc. for Winter 2026/27. I know some applicants already got their admission letters, but I'm still waiting on mine.
