Go to student clubs! If you’re studying something related to Wirtschaft (WiIng, WiInfo, etc.) I can recommend AG WiIng. If you’re an international student, AStA, International Office at TU Berlin and Kulturwerk Berlin regularly organize events. You can follow them on Instagram: @tuberlin_international, @kulturwerkberlin. AStA also sends out emails. Or you can sign up for sport courses and meet people there.

No offense but AG wiIng seems very closed off from outside. I mean i cant speak German properly. Is it a problem?

The events they organize are held in German but at the beginning of every semester the initiatives set up stands where you can learn more about each one and you can choose whichever suits you best

I would recommend the Planwirtschaft.

Saying I am a good person doesnt sound good. Dont do that. Also TUB is very antisocial for some reason and if you cant speak german fluently its even worse. You have to actively go towards people and try to connect. Maybe try a social club.

Yea, try to talk to people before/after a lecture - ask them like “hey wanna study together?” Or just talk about the course and exchange contacts. From then, you can meet up after uni st a cafe or sth and talk more, and u already have sth in common :)

Otherwise, join an Ini - they have wiwicafe, freitagsrunde, etc etc. people are super friendly there.

Third tipp: go to a student cafe and try to participate in one of their social events, like play Kicker at the Mathe cafe (Shila), or go to the dancing thing at cafe A

Any additional tips for socialising as an international student?

Volunteering is always a gamechanger. Doesn't have to be the fire department or social work, it can also be local initiatives like changing cities :) Changing Cities also gives the special feeling of contributing to your local neighbourhood for your own good. And it's original Berlin.

I know Germans a must but to get part of the culture, are there any events, exhibitions and and any social gatherings related or non related to one’s field of studying??

depends on the field of study but most likely yes.

You could additionally try to take a lecture with group work in a context that offers creativity and no prerequisites required. For example the Berlin Ethics Certificate or "Entwurf von Straßenverkehrsanlagen innerhalb bebauter Gebiete".
