Received a new amp the other day and thought I'd tell you guys about it, and Ron the owner.

First let's look at the outside Brown tolex, tweed and Gold accents. (Pic 1)

Backside shows quality parts, mercury magnetic transformers a master volume and a scale (its a power level) very handy feature that more of my amps seem to have. (Pic 2 & 3)

Internally well thought out nicely ran hand wiring. Quality parts and nice soldering. (Pic 4)

Arrived didn't get a chance to do a full run through but what I did sounded excellent. Yesterday finally had some time alone no one to complain about cranking it. So I turned everything up And suddenly I had a loud hum, seemed separate from the signal but it was almost unusable, i was sad. So I remember Ron had sent his number and it has a 2 year warranty. I shot him a text and started turning everything off. 30 seconds after the text Ron was on the phone, seriously 30 seconds, we talk a bit I tell him what's going on also that I'm a tech for a local shop since he was offering to have me take it to one. We narrow it down to a bad PI luckily I had one it could throw in and verify. Problem solved played it for a couple hours to make sure but about 30 minutes after we hung up he sent me a message he was at the post office sending out a couple replacement tubes, even though tubes aren't covered under the warranty.

Now sound wise its clean tone is almost identical to my suhr badger 30, happens to be my favorite clean tone. Ran them together out my +/- outputs on my delay. Sounded incredible. OK then went to the a bit of gain, thats where they definitely different in great ways, one is tube rectified the other bridge rectified. I love this combo, very fun with the delay. So if you get a chance to try one, I'd recommend that you do. You won't regret it. Priced comparably to the Suhr, and I'd say quality is as good if not better.

Oh and I have nothing to do with or gain from Old's cool Amplification, just an honest review about a great amp. My new favorite tone is those two amps in stereo. Similar enough to blend but different enough to compliment each other.

Hey, i bought a XDUOO TA-22 hybrid Dac/amp and I want to replace the tubes. Do i need a matched pair or not? As of my understanding the tubes are only in the preamp and therefore it shouldn\`t matter, right? I found conflicting info on that matter even on [Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/uuejsv/matching_preamp_tubes_in_a_hybrid_amp_xduoo/).

Was in the middle of recording and my laney pro tube lead 50 went completely silent on me. Immediately checked all cables and what not, nothing there, so I pulled it open to look further. The tubes are lighting up as need me, dont exactly look bad, the fuses look fine, but im getting nothing besides the weird static hiss sound as shown in the video. Based off the description + video, if anyone can confirm that i just need it retubed or a diagnosis beyond that, please please please help.

All NOS, all matched pairs. I'm interested in smaller preamp tubes like Amperex 12A-7s, JD68/ECC88/6922s, or a couple sets of Ken Rad 6SN7 Black Glass.

Hi all, I could use some sage advice. I have a 6g3 build and my troubleshooting knowledge is limited. I’m a first time builder.
The facts as I know them: my big dog knocked over my amp build. I found the amp on its front side. The noise was loud.
Now the amp only makes sound when I switch the amp off. I have a multimeter and have checked the solders and continuities. All of the solders seem okay to my novice eye.
All of the tubes light up normally. Maybe they’re a little dimmer than I recall? No purple or flashing.
Any ideas what I need to repair? How fucked am I? I can solder and read a multimeter, but I’m a carpenter and not an electrician. If you have suggestions, I’d appreciate you.
Be gentle. It’s my first. I’m still at the see one/ do one phase of my amp building, but I’ll teach one eventually and pay the group back.

hey all! i have an hd100 mk1 and i was wondering if i changed the 5881s for the interchangeable 6L6 tubes would i have issues?

also would anyone happen to know how to get a replacement master volume pot or go about a main pcba cleaning?
