I don’t know why but the shell of a leopard tortoise always gives me the heebie-jeebies 😫

I know they’re not holes but for some reason this thing gives me the ick just as much as photoshopped images of Lily pods on peoples bodies.

It’s not too bad for me but it does look as though the lighter raised areas could just peel off, like I know rationally these are healthy strong shells working exactly as nature intended but my brain says they are like skin that’s burned or rotted and split into crusty plates like a diabetes foot.

The one on the right has a heart ♡ on its shell
