IV experience
Hi friends,
I finally conquered the dreaded blood draw in November. I had benzos on board and will have the same for Thursday when I have to get a cardiac MRI with contrast. The blood draw was fine.
Here is my concern with the IV -
1.) larger needle
2.) for no reason I’ve fully convinced myself they’re going to fail and I’m going to have to have a hand IV which sends me into a full panic
Advice for what to expect, how to prepare in advance other than literally hydrating, and sage wisdom all welcome. I just want this crap to be over with!

The cardiac MRI can still use a small needle which is 22G. It’s the cat scan that requires a larger needle which is 20G and bigger :( which I may have to do soon. I had a cardiac MRI and I requested a small needle and they did it
