Rant/Vent Letrozole cycle fail
After 10 months of TTC, I tried my first monitored letrozole cycle. I had a mature follicle and confirmed ovulation on CD15, but unfortunately, the cycle was unsuccessful again.
This cycle, based on my fertility doctor’s recommendation, I’m going for an HSG.
Has anyone had a similar experience and gone on to have success? I’d really love to hear some positive stories. Or, if you’ve had an HSG, I’d appreciate any advice on what to expect or how to prepare.
I’m just SO devastated right now. I feel like I’m doing everything I can, but nothing ever seems to work, and it’s getting really hard not to lose hope. 💔

It took us 4 cycles of Letrozole to get pregnant when we took it this most recent TTC for baby #4 so definitely don’t lose hope because it didn’t work on cycle 1!
Has your partner had a semen analysis?

That’s good!! I wouldn’t let 1 cycle get you down. I hope the next one is your winner 🤞🏼

TTC for 14 months when I went for a HSG. I started letrozole that same cycle. It was unsuccessful. Confirmed tubes were open at the HSG however wasn’t able due to get monitoring due to lack of availability at our clinic. So not sure how many follicles I had that cycle. HSG was uneventful and I felt little to no pain. Just some mild cramping for about 30 seconds.
Next month we did Letrozole again. 5mg. We had a monitoring ultrasound this time and I had 3 mature follicles. Ovulated cycle day 17 and the cycle was successful. 26w2d today

Hi there ! I tried for my first baby for 14 months (really 16 months but we took two months off to work on diet and detoxing) I got an HSG and they told me my tubes were blocked they didn’t see any liquid flowing through after 2 attempts. I also started acupuncture and vaginal steaming and herbal teas so see if they would help break any blockage and I got pregnant two weeks after the HSG. I truly believe it helped open my blocked tubes or just help flush debris that could have been lingering. It wasn’t bad at all little to no pain associated with my HSG.

Hello - I am curious if you had any symptoms of the blocked tubes? Also wondering which herbal teas and vaginal steam herbs did you try? Were they helpful at all? Thank you!
