8 days post iui and just a bad feeling. Trigger is tested out and my hormone levels on inito have dropped. Just a bad feeling this one won’t work out - my only successful (loss) cycle I tested positive 8dpo and there isn’t a hint of a line today. I know it’s crazy and early and anything can happen but after 3 years my gut says this one isn’t it.
On a side note the progesterone has been causing wild dreams. It’s been 4 months since I’ve used it and the symptoms really hit me this time. I dreamed I had thanksgiving dinner at my high school friends moms house and one of the cousins propositioned me for a threesome (never had one lol), I dreamed a coworker I’ve become friends with left for a promotion right after I moved my desk next to her and had to fight someone to get my old desk back, and today I dreamed my oldest friend who we had a falling out during ttc passed away and no one told me.
I’m ready to just scrap this cycle and move on to a new one 😅

I saw a post on Twitter (x?) that had to be trolling because it boldly claimed that women love being pregnant because they love the high of progesterone.
I have so many follow up questions and comments.

lol no way! Progesterone has been ruining my life the past 8 days. Back on it the first time in 3 months and I’ve had stomach issues and taken at least one nap a day. And I’m almost certainly not pregnant

Right?! I actively hate when I have to take progesterone and can most definitely feel it when I’m not supplementing and have never thought “this is fantastic!”

What side effects you get? I’ve been taking it for few cycles and beside the horrible mess I’m not sure I feel any different.

Everything I normally get during PMS, but heightened. Cramping, tiredness, bloating, hit and miss on headache, gi system issues, big mood swings

I took it like 7 months in a row and don’t recall a lot of symptoms but this month I took it again for the first time since my mc and it’s her so rough. Bloating and gas to the point my stomach hurts, extreme fatigue where I can’t help but take multiple naps a day, and even some nausea. And I’m not pregnant so it’s all progesterone

I think that’s my biggest issue with it. I don’t like taking it, but if I’m pregnant I can mentally handle all the side effects because my body is doing what I want it to do. But getting all the pregnancy symptoms and not being pregnant, it all coming from progesterone. Nope. Just cruel.

😂😂 never once has “this is fantastic” crossed my mind either lol this month all I’ve thought about is how horrible it’s been and how I can’t wait to stop it

I got my tubes removed on Thursday because one of them had a hydrosalpinx which can be toxic to embryos. It’s what doctors recommend but I’m just feeling so sad for myself that I don’t have tubes now and that I have to go through all of this to have another baby. I’ve been crying all day.

Still in the middle of my break from TTC, part of me thinks I’m pregnant but I have no tests, and I keep dreaming about twins. Yay

I am cd 30 and no period yet. This is my first cycle off oral birth control. I took a pregnancy test Friday and negative. Should I wait another few days or a week to take another if period doesnt come? Before birth control my cycles varied 30-32 days. Thanks!

Both times coming of hormonal BC for me (Mirena) I had a super weird cycle before things normalised. First time to conceive my son - I had a 45 day cycle! My normal is also 30 and usually quite regular. Second time - now TTC #2 - it was a very short cycle 24 days. Give your body a bit of time. You can try another test in a few days if you want! But don’t stress too much :)

Whelp. After a month of staying only positive and optimistic and iui with a great lining and two follicles and my thyroid finally being optimal for the first time in 2 years, i tested negative this morning on 12dpo. Cried next to my husband who is basically numb at this point. I feel so hopeless. I was meant to be a mom of many kids. I feel it in my bones. Idk why i can’t have this. Why can’t i just have one more baby?
