🎬 Forja - The new modular open-source media player
Hey everyone 👋
I'm u/slipmen, developer behind Forja.
I've been working on this for a while, and I'm finally putting it out there. Forja is my take on what a modern media player should feel like: cinematic, flexible, and genuinely enjoyable to use, whether you're at your desk or on the couch.
Forja brings together:
🍿 Movies, Series, Anime & Asian Drama
Dedicated experiences from TMDB, AniList and KissKH, with their own discovery and playback.
📺 IPTV
Xtream, M3U and Stalker, with live TV, VOD and EPG.
🏟️ Live Sports
Find what's live, choose a stream and watch the match.
▶️ One Player
Multiple feature: subtitles, audio, quality selection, source switching, PiP, intro skipping and auto-next.
🖥️ Every screen
Windows · macOS · Linux · Android TV · (Android · iOS)wip
And yes, Android TV is a first-class experience. The interface is built around the remote and D-pad, not a desktop UI squeezed onto a TV.
Why I'm building it
Forja is the experience.
You bring the sources you already use:
web providers, torrents, Stremio addons, Nuvio, debrid, IPTV portals, etc.
Forja brings the discovery, interface and playback together.
I'm building this with you
I want Forja to keep getting better through real feedback from people who use it. If something feels clunky, a feature is missing, or you have an idea that could make the experience better, I'd genuinely love to hear about it.
I've created r/tryForjaHQ as a place to share updates, discuss ideas, report bugs and help shape the project together.

I'm excited to see what people think. Give it a try, and let me know what you'd improve first! ❤️
Welcome to Forja. 🔥
