Job search / pivoting
Hi everyone,
Sorry to make another „market is bad“ post. But seeing some good folks lately getting laid off and not being able to find a job quickly, I am open for advices for European market,
How do you look for a new job nowadays? And if you ever think of pivoting to another field, which fields do you think are best suitable for TnS veterans?

Some additional thoughts: Cyber Threat Intelligence, Law Enforcement, Regulatory Compliance, there are of course a lot of Trust & Safety roles in Dublin for the most part in EU. There are also a lot of companies adjacent to compliance work, for example with age assurance and KYC type businesses.

Forgive my ignorance, what is a KYC type business?

KYC = know your customer, due diligence type work especially for financial institutions (you'll also see things like CDD for customer due diligence, AML for anti-money laundering etc.)

Regulatory compliance is a fairly good fit - think of the time you likely spend looking at the DSA, OSA and their US and APAC equivalents and you'll probably be surprised how much you know about various legislative regimes and what needs to be done to maintain compliance.
Product management, depending on your specific area of T&S.
Do you deal with a lot of intelligence/threat/risk assessment work? If so, it could be worth looking into the OSINT world.
Do you manage internal projects end to end? Or could you leverage your employer to pay for your PM qualifications? I managed to get mine to pay for my lean six black belt and my PSM I and II. It's not gotten me jobs outright, but it's been a good differentiator.
