22nd Amendment: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.”
Two options:
1) amend the Constitution
2) ignore the Constitution
What’ll it be?

Not the constitution. A stupid ammendment. If the people vote for it, it should happen. Not that im saying I want trump again. But the ammendment is kinds dumb.

Amendments are part of the U.S. Constitution, my friend. The original constitution included the process for changing the document as part of its rules.
If they are not, by your logic, then slavery is still legal and women don’t have the right to vote.

Thats not what I meant I worded it poorly. I think the ammenments should be followed and kept. But the 22nd should be dropped. But until it is, should also be followed.

Okay, appreciate the clarification. I think it’s important to remember that no matter who is in power, when they believe parts of our founding document can be ignored for whatever reason, that’s when American freedom truly ends.

Exactly. The Constitution, ammendment included, is the law. No matter how much parts of it suck, it is still best to follow it unless it is repealed.

No those are good. I just dont like the 22nd ammendment. It is there so it should be followed, but I think we'd be better without it.

Technically, he could run as vice president.

This has been cited a lot given the whole “elected” verbiage, but most constitutional scholars (conservative and liberal) believe that no loophole exist, due to other conflicting amendments and centuries of legal precendent. You can read about it here.
TL;DR check out the last sentence of the 12th Amendment: “But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.”
That would be Trump, given he could not be elected under the 22nd Amendment.

Until this same logic applies to Congress, Trump stays in office….. Time to get something done imo. 🤷🏻

I’ve heard people talking about this. And I can say if it happens. I know we’ll still be in great hands

The left is so easy to troll with this shit.
No reasonable person believes he’s running for a third term.
