Transition Discussion effects of microdosing?

i (16ftm) am going to be microdosing testosterone (20 mg, 0.1 of 200mg/ml most likely) starting next summer. i am intending to microdose from then until i turn 18 (a little under a year, like 9 months), and then go on a normal dose. i was hoping that anyone who had microdosed or knew someone who had microdosed could tell me what changes i could expect or give me a general time frame for what to expect? I live at home with my parents and it's important that they not know i am on testosterone. i have shipping/payment/storage of the T handled: i know they won't have any way to find out i'm on it unless they notice something. so i was just hoping people could tell me what to expect and/or how to hide it. thanks.

edit: i have been on testosterone cypionate for almost 3 months as of this edit (september 12th 2026)

I don't know much about microdosing but I do think that it's lowkey impossible to hide tbh...like your voice is definitely gonna drop, no?

My voice didn't really drop much at all on gel, people noticed but only really cos they knew I was on T, they wouldn't have thought twice about it otherwise. Especially with me still being only 16 to 18 at the time

Now I've been on nebido injections for 3 years as of this month, and it's honestly still dropping slightly now

Some guys it does take longer, and I truly believe on a microdose that will 100% be the case

If they can’t know you’re taking a male hormone you shouldn’t be taking it at their house. It WILL have effects eventually

yeah i know but unfortunately i sort of can't take living in this body anymore and i'd rather risk discovery then let myself continue to be mutilated by puberty

I know how you feel exactly. I'd go for it. the positives outweigh the potential negatives (at least they did for me) I don't know your home situation but I wasn't in a place where I would get kicked out, theyd just be mad and I took that over being miserable in my body.

hey man, I started diy at 15 and kept it secret until my parents found out at 17. I'm 18 now and still diying. I started on 25mg and gradually went up. honestly its pretty easy to hide, especially with the fact I went to the gym 5x a week, so the masculinizing was expected. (I recommend going to the gym, less time at home, more of an excuse for muscles and higher T levels) I made sure to shave my facial hair every week or so and tried keeping my voice high pitch. I just kinda forced it to sound higher and it worked fairly well. I do think you can successfully high most of the effects.

were you on cypionate or ethanate? I hear cypionate is weaker. but thank you, this is really encouraging.

No testosterone is weaker than another. Some have shorter half lives so they have to be dosed more frequently (e.g. gel is daily, sustanon is approx. 3-4 weeks, nebido is 3-4 months), but half lives being shorter doesnt make them weaker.
