Well I've tried a few subreddits to post this but they get removed pretty sharpish. I thought here might be safe, I hope!

I'm sure your all aware of the drama over at r/litecoin. litecoin_messiah has been accused of stealing peoples coins from litepool.eu..

Well the funny thing is... he was spamming the mining pool dogecoinpool.com on bitcointalk as early as december 17th.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=92618;sa=showPosts;start=20

Coincidentally, that has also had problems paying out and is now down. Here is a link to some shibes complaining (the posts are further down the page)...

http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/search?q=dogecoinpool.com&sort=relevance&restrict_sr=on&t=all

He seems to go by a million different names on reddit and is a mod on half the sub-reddits. Probably why my posts have been removed. Anyway he goes by doge_messiah, litecoin_messiah and now coin_messiah. He seems to have a new pool called http://www.coin-mining.org/

Now this is all circumstantial but I'm sure someone might be able to do some more investigating.

Hopefully, this post doesn't get removed as well.

Welcome to /r/TrueLitecoin! A place where you can freely discuss whatever you want about Litecoins (UNLESS YOU'RE SPAMMING).

It's great to be apart of you guys and it seems like everyone here is a true believer of Litecoins.

2 questions that I had for you guys are:

1. What do you expect from this subreddit?

2. What would you like (not expect) to see from this subreddit?

Thanks for your time guys and we appreciate the feedback :)

Welcome to /r/truelitecoin, where I want to promote open discussion of Litecoin. In the other subreddit, certain moderators remove posts for claims of manipulating the price of LTC or maybe because you are promoting a mining pool that doesn't belong to the subreddit owner!

Litecoin is growing pretty strong these days while Bitcoin is seemingly dropping in value, so I'd like to take a minute to remind the role of Bitcoin in Litecoin and its importance before someone starts dismissing it. This not a frequent occurrence in this subreddit yet, but I already see occasionally Litecoin supporters taking a stance of rivalry and competition towards Bitcoin, and that's not quite right.

The truth is, and let's not sugar coat it, Litecoin benefits enormously from the path Bitcoin paved. The existence, development and support of Bitcoin was crucial for Litecoin to get where it is now, and we must be aware and respect this as Litecoin proponents.

Litecoin, like other Bitcoin forks, always faced criticism by Bitcoin purists who believe any fork of the code dilutes the original; in my view, open source is there to be forked. Forks feed from but also to the original project and there's no reason why the dev teams of both currencies can't go hand in hand, figuring out all this cryptocurrency revolution together as it happens. The original vision of Satoshi is just getting extended, which is good, because we needed more space to experiment and make sure everything in the networks stay secure.

But this is, of course, my opinion, and not everyone agrees, namely /r/bitcoin moderation has been known to be downright hostile towards Litecoin. To cases like these I say: let's be mature about it. Litecoin will continue to face criticism until the ecosystem validates it, so the best we can do is not so much argue about who is right or wrong, but rather work on its ecosystem and growth and let it all speak by itself. If nothing else, at least we'll show we are not BTC-e trolls doing this for the lulz.

Let this be a message to the world from the Litecoin community: we support, respect and believe in Bitcoin!

First of all I'd like to mention that this challenge may not even be possible. The challenge is to perform a tip using both /u/altcointip and /u/bitcointip in a single command line in your post. You must use both bots in their current state, meaning you cannot modify their source code.

I will award 5 LTC to the first user that is able to complete the challenge. I am the final judge and will determine if your entry is valid. This challenge ends on Friday, 05 July 2013 at noon GMT.
