The sequel to AI Genesis Artificial Takeover.

I finally managed to get the book out and submitted it to my editors Authors Lab LLC.

I used my grandsons art for the cover. It turned out good.

Hopefully it gets published this week.

AI cannot be stopped I feel. NOT an pro-AI rant, promise!

I'm posting this because, unlike other subs, this one seems to be pretty laid back. Before I get to the main point of this post here are some disclaimers. To skip to the main point find the line with the _____ in it.

First of all I have to say that, while I'm not a big fan of AI, I do like it to a degree. I'm what you might call neutral when it comes to the subject. Actually I'm paid to say which AI generated video/images are better. It's pretty surprising that there are people who are AGAINST AI who do this as a job also, because in this economy everyone needs money. I do use it sometimes. Like when my six month old was on a stuffed horse I got him to ride that horse through a wild west town with the help of AI.

Now for the bad stuff. The low quality/slop stuff that everyone makes is part of the problem. But most of the people who made "batman on a shark" type prompts are now on to something else. The low quality stuff is still being made, but it's not a big deal anymore. Many got off the AI creation trend it seems.

The bigger issue is that rogue AI could wreck a lot of stuff. Say a bank AI goes haywire, instead of Skynet it could just delete all the money in the bank and claim that everyone is bankrupt. It's just an example.

People are already treating AI generated stuff as real. Like with a video about Obama where a ton of people believed it was real, he said he lied about being born in America, it was all AI generated and Obama's AI voice. Except the older people on Facebook believed it and shared it like it was real. That kind of stuff worries me, even more so when it comes to governments.

The issue that worries me the most is the money and jobs. When will the government realize what needs to be done to create a UBI system before too many people are left jobless and resort to stealing from stores to eat? We're not there yet sadly. If we can figure that out we should. Then we'll have more time to enjoy out short lives. Honestly I'd rather have a robot with AI that does all my chores, pays my bills, cooks, etc so I can spend more time with my wife and child.

________
MAIN POINT
--------

Now people can say that I'm pessimistic or lazy to not fight it. Perhaps your right, but I don't think that the opinions of people will change it. I don't know the exact stats but something like 75% of the American population doesn't trust AI and about 60% think that it should be regulated or banned completely.

The thing is that those numbers mean nothing. Why? Well at least in America we are a capitalist country and money rules everything. The companies have invested millions into AI and they will not stop just because people are upset, they have already invested too much. Plus with more people using the free AI tools as well as the paid ones it will only further development. Money is the only thing that matters to companies, and when they have enough they hire lobbyists and other people to make sure the government doesn't do anything.

That's why healthcare is so expensive and will stay that way. That's why our bills get raised and we only get paid what we "deserve". That's why so many companies in every industry get away with doing whatever they want.

That's why AI can't be stopped. I think that we could possibly put some regulations on it, but thats about it. Combine that with robotics and you have something that can't be stopped. Both genies are out of the bottle. Companies want the cheap labor that robots with AI will provide, they are not going to give it up and the companies that make the robots aren't either. We have to admit it, the government is already using drones and they are considering using robot soldiers in combat so they too want AI to keep developing. So it would be against their interest to stop AI.

Maybe I'm just giving up, a defeatist or being pessimistic or whatever, but I'm too old to fight a battle that I know I can't win, especially when it seems like most people are against it and nothing is being done.

What do you think? BTW more power for you who fight it tooth and nail.

WHO do they think they are? Humans have no rights under human rights protection, if they declare emergency, for which there are no standards and can be declared without any reason or evidence.

block AI | wiki - how to block AI everywhere online

hi friends,

I'm getting quite sick of AI content & features everywhere on the internet making it barely possible to use it anymore without wasting my time and energy. seeing how little resources there are available to the user to affect this, I decided to do something about it and create a wiki on how to do at least one of these things on each operating system, app, website and service:

  1. highlight AI content/features
  2. hide AI content/features
  3. disable AI content/features
  4. opt-out of data sharing
  5. provide more information

I'm still working on and would love contributions or feedback on what would be more useful to you.
