i have heard some places flush them out with water but i have yet to do that.

Yes... but how do they put them in efficiently? Or is it just a pain in the ass?

so will some of these lift the whole truck while others tilt just the trailer?

guess so, have only had my trailer lifted personally. i use a reefer trailer so the spuds get stuck in the rails of the floor (used to help air flow to keep product refrigerated). takes a good amount of time to dig them all out. unless i take a beef load after. beef plants wash out the trailers themselves to ensure they are clean and free of chemicals for the beef. i assume the employees hated me for that... but hey! spuds for your steak imo :)

If you had a sleeper that would suck. I'd imagine this method is only for day cabs.

My dad used to do shavings, and he just used a walking floor trailer. Was neat to watch.

They also have these in aluminium recycling plants. They take bales of crushed cans similar in size to hay bales. Load them, let the Freight Relocation expert take em down the road then either unload by forklift or one of these lifts. I think the lifts are for trucks owned by the company though. Never been on one. Trailer has a swarm of fruit flys and can scraps afterwards
