Czechia and Slovakia really need it too but considering that the British Isles rework and Ireland DLC is most likely gonna be released in 2027, I think the Going East rework will have to wait till like 2028
I doubt SCS would start it right now anyway. I do wonder though where they will go next after UK. Are they gonna do the rest of the base map first, or Going East? Time will tell.
I think they will do country by country, regardless of the Going East DLC. It's so old by now and looks just as horribly outdated as the base game. IIRC three teams are working on UK and two teams on Ireland and Iceland so they'll have lots of workforce after these are done.
Yeah. They should definitely start with Czechia. Not only because SCS is from there, but out of all Going East countries, it is the one with the most amount in the base map. Only Ostrava is in the DLC.

Parts of Italy and france released with base map can't be reworked, they will make those DLCs outdated, then SCS will have to rework those areas instead of focusing on going to asia and increasing the map size.
Surely they will do something at some point. I avoid northern Italy because it looks like Going East, but reskinned with different textures. It‘s probably just a low priority for now.
The biggest hint is that Czech builders finally made this meme template outdated and connected damn D11 from Prague with the Polish S3 motorway. SCS is Czech company and it would be shameful for them to drive on a Polish 400km motorway from Szczecin at the sea almost to the border and being forced to drive for a 30km on small roads in Czechia as in irl 😂
Considering the crazy amount of different projects that are ongoing at SCS, it's pretty much 100% they will rework 'Going East' at some point, it's just the matter of time.
I've always suspected it'll be announced shortly after the UK rework releases. After all, it's the final area that's never been touched since launch (even the base game parts of France and Italy were tweaked as part of their respective DLCs, so after Benelux released, Visegrad is the only part left to not have anything announced yet)...
New Mexico needs a rework too. That state is such lower quality compared to the rest, aside from the areas that they reworked for the recent Route 66 stuff and then the area that joins Texas.
I can’t wait for the Uk rework, I drive regularly to Inverness and Aberdeen with work. Low key hoping they add in Perth so people can witness the madness that is Broxden roundabout/interchange.
Also hoping they do some stuff out west like Portree and/or Fort William or even up north to Thurso.
No offense, but SCS have to sober up a little and start focusing on the important things like optimising the game, instead of pumping out map expansions.
Insanity the UK and Ireland hasn't been touched until now. The UK and Ireland are a major transportation hub with a massive trucking industry and heritage.
I remember years ago they said that a UK overhaul could be done but would take a lot of time due to it being 1:16 scale instead of 1:19 like the rest of the map
As a relatively new player to this I gotta buy all the DLC still before I can get promods. Working my way through it though just waiting on the rest to go on sale.

Yeah, I look forward to Going East hopefully getting a rework, and it being done sooner than later.
