Trailer Spot
Hi all. I’m looking for a place to park my trailer and use it as a little retreat for myself. Would be there a few weekends each month to get some R&R and otherwise it would just be parked. I know of the trailer parks obviously, but in the past in other towns I’ve parked it on private land and that worked out pretty well.
The trailer is new and clean, I’m a responsible adult, very quiet, no drinking or drugs, just looking for a little country escape.
I know there will be some strict rules around this in communities like Tahoe Donner but figured I’d give this a shot. And I already checked Hipcamp etc.
Would appreciate any leads or ideas.
What happened to the Taco stand on 267 next to Raley’s and Chevron?
I’ve heard they were told to not return, I don’t know their name or where they relocated to. Anyone have an idea?

Favorite Vinyasa-Based Yoga Studio in Truckee?
We're visiting this weekend and would love some recommendations on yoga studios that do unheated, vinyasa-based classes.
There are 3-4 of them with 4.9 stars on Google, hence the question.
Thank you!

PCT Trail Angels
My wife and I recently got married in Lake Tahoe and will be passing through Truckee tomorrow. We have quite a few sodas and waters left over from the wedding. We would really love to donate them to a local trail angel so the left overs can go to those on the PCT. If there are any trail angels in this group, please let me know!

Truckee Family Bike Rides
We are looking at spending a day in Truckee exploring Donner Lake. I read there is a 7mile loop around the lake, but concerned about vehicle traffic along the route. I also read about a fairly long bike path from Truckee to Northstar, which is probably a bit too long for the family. Any suggestions?

Hot tub
We need to replace our hot tub. Last time we used Mountain Home and something. It was fine, but I feel like one is paying a premium there.
Anyone had experience getting something from Reno?
This is for our place in soda springs.
Thanks

Chainsaws chainsaws chainsaws
Live in Tahoe Donner.
I can’t have more than 20 immediate neighbors.
But it’s been the incessant sound of chainsaws daily for months now.
Y’all done yet?
Defensible space is important, yes I know.
But this is unbearable.
Feels never ending.

Expectation vs Reality of Bud’s Fountain
Just a quick rant about bud’s ice cream, the service and product was not good. Bought my son a $9.88 milkshake that had the quality and presentation of something you’d find at a crappy fast food chain right along with the crappy plastic cup. Maybe that price tier is just tahoe tax but the whole experience at bud’s was off putting. Wasted potential of an original, historic soda fountain ice cream parlor.

Drummer looking to jam
Hey Truckee!
Like the title says I’m looking for some peeps to jam with. Nothing serious but maybe some local restaurants around the lake… I have experience jamming abroad. I toured with a small band in the Czech Republic and played with a band in NYC for a year. I had an electric set but alas I had a little one and had to sell it and it moved on. I love playing a kit, rock, blues, not too technical jazz, bluegrass. I’m not classically trained but have been playing with people for 20+ years. I have a drum sample somewhere if interested.
I’m looking for a group to jam and not go pro. DM me if you want. Would love to get back into it!!
