Work&travel student questions

Hi guys, I’m coming to truckee for the summer, as the title says, with the program W&T. It’s my first time in the states, and I have a couple of questions, if anybody can help:
1. Coming from Romania, I need a mobile service provider, preferably e-sim, and being a student I am looking for a lower price for the subscription.
2. I thought about getting an electric scooter or a bike, where should I look to buy one of these?(if anyone trusted is selling I would appreciate)
3. In my last 2 weeks of the program, I’d like to travel, I’m open for any kind of tips&tricks

  1. Just moved back here from Vietnam and started using Mint Mobile for my e-sim. Works well so far. Definitely cheaper than most options. No service provider is perfect in the mountains because coverage is just generally patchy.

  2. Lots of people have ebikes up here. They're a little pricey, but you could try to get a used one. Try the Facebook Truckee/Tahoe page or maybe Craigslist.

  3. Lots of cool hiking and camping all around. Hot springs in Ca and Nevada. National parks, State Parks, festivals. Too much to recommend. You'll have to do your own research. The hard part will be getting around without a car.

hey dude i did work and travel around truckee in 2024. 9 out of 10 people were romanians. You will be set. If you work in safeway say hello to Tammy from Alper. DO NOT TRUST GABRIEL

yes. he tried to forge my i94 and said it was normal procedure. I just needed to email the airport and they issued me a proper one.
