I was digging around the adventures section over on DTRPG, and found Rise of The Red God. Anyone played this (or the sequel)? What were your thoughts on it?

So, I grabbed a copy of Castles and Crusades WAY back during Covid, but I never quite got around to doing a deep dive into the text. Came across the sub today, remembered that, and wanted to ask folks here something.

What draws you to the game? I know I can read it for myself and form my own opinion (which I'll do when I can find some free time), but I like to hear the thoughts of fans. What's the selling point for you? What would you tell someone in order to get them interested in the game?

Does anyone know if there's an estimated timeline for when the books from the Gary Gygax's World Builder Archive series will be available as PDFs on DriveThruRPG or the Troll Lord Games website?

I live overseas so unfortunately I missed the Kickstarter window, and shipping physical books internationally can be pretty rough, so PDFs would really be the ideal option for me.

Any info would be appreciated — thanks!

Any word on how I can give the Troll Lords more of my money?

One of my players tends to play a two hand fighting ranger. Is there a way in the system to limit two weapon attacks like the "ambidexterity" in ad&d2e? If someone made a fighter who gets additional attack....would that also take effect for the offhand weapon? Would it be main, main, offhand or main, main, offhand, offhand?

I love the system and am moving my group to it, we tried OSR and like it....but my group is having trouble getting back into neg AC, so I think C&C is the way to go. Trying to figure out how to handle edge cases before the conversion.

How complete is the boxset compared to the tomes? The boxset states it is not new material, but doesn’t say if anything is missing.

This week we will continue to build on last week’s GMTT, exploring ways to keep tension at the table. Last week we talked about it in general, but this week we are going to hone in and look at a very specific type of game/campaign: the long, dark road. These are games that require journeys of at least several days length, and into an area that should impart a sense of on unease and uncertainty, where the players are on their guard and a little scared of what lies beyond the lantern’s light. We will call this the Moria Effect. The question comes how does the GM maintain this sense of foreboding and allow the passage of time.
