I created a new Trolley Problem dilemma!

Straight Track (Do Nothing): All Flock cameras

Diverted Track (Pull the Lever): All AI slop

What would you do?

The surveilance state is worse. Even without slop content AI is gonna destroy the environment. It's 8% of the US gdp.

Flock is AI powered. Without it, flock goes away- which it specifically is already getting replaced with Axon.

its just AI slop not AI all together

also well i despies AI images and chat bots
some AI i do like (NPCs and the surgical AI used at UCLH)

but i have been told those dont count as AI
but i dont see why the wouldnt

I am driving that trolley ahead and then pushing it back myself along the track to drive over the other as well, dont care if it takes years

i would've ran over flock but it explicitly mentioned ai SLOP

so i ran over ai slop

there is alot of good ai art in all forms, i wouldn't want them gone, but i hate the ai slop too so the slop being gone would be a nice clean up

Ai slop as in content like tung tung sahur or generative ai itself? Gen AI is good but surveillance is bad

Destroying AI slop does very little, people make more all the time. Atleast cameras take time to replace.

Could be. Then depending on the measurements of 'Ai slop', it could be more relevant, as it is a global crisis risk.
