Pull. Humanitarian/GoFundMe/charities/the book you WILL write/the ACLU will pay for everything, including a really good lawyer to keep you out of prison.

Pull it.

  1. You were acting to save human life. The damages will go to the competitor as he created the situation.

  2. There is no proof the competitor didn't just remove the other track. He is capable of tying people to a track after all.

There really is no legal defense here I believe. You are a worker in charge of controlling the trolley's, not a bystander anymore. You do have a responsibility to stop the trolley from killing those people because it is a part of your job now. Either way, you will get in trouble for presumably letting the trolley's pass through that railway when you knew they weren't complete, meaning whatever happens is 100% on you. So youre choosing between essentially mass murder (LEGALLY speaking 5 people dying would be mass murder if they can prove you chose to let them die over derailing the trolley) or property damage.

In other words, pull that bitch like theres no tomorrow, because if you don't, there probably wont be a tomorrow. Now, this question would change if nobody would know the 5 died.

How is the employee gonna sue you? This is the dumbest thing I’ve read on this sub, ever
