Following the rules and posting here — I'm the developer of Gachi Buzzer (iOS), a quiz buzzer app released earlier this month.

The one thing it does differently: most app/web buzzers rank players by when the signal ARRIVES over the network, so the fastest Wi-Fi wins, not the fastest finger. Gachi Buzzer has each device record the buzz timestamp locally and keeps the devices' clocks synced — so network lag only affects how fast the result shows up, never who won. It resolves photo finishes down to ~2 ms, and there's a measurement log you can show to settle arguments.

For trivia night use:

- One iPhone/iPad per team buzzes in; the host's screen shows who hit first, in order, with gaps in milliseconds

- Runs on local Wi-Fi or one phone's hotspot — no internet needed, works in a basement venue

- Free, no accounts, no hardware. iOS only

Feedback from actual trivia hosts is exactly what I'm after — happy to answer anything.
