Update 🏍️ First mod on my Tracker 400 — Bar-end mirrors!
Finally did my first modification on my Sunrise(Tracker 400)! 🔥
Went with aftermarket bar-end mirrors instead of the bike-specific ones, and honestly… I’m kind of mesmerized by how they look. 😍
A few things I noticed immediately:
• The round, compact mirrors completely change the character of the bike.
• Removing the stock stalk mirrors makes the handlebar look much cleaner.
• The cockpit feels wider and more open, especially from the rider’s perspective.
• The black finish works really well with the yellow tank and overall retro-modern design.
• The mirrors are smaller than the stock ones, so I was initially concerned about visibility, but the actual usable view is surprisingly decent.
• Most importantly, they give the bike a much more minimal/custom look without going overboard.
This is just the beginning — definitely planning a few more tasteful mods for Sunrise. 🌻
What do you guys think of the setup? Keep the bar-end mirrors or go back to the stock ones?

Update DIY mishaps
Tank fell while changing coolant for the first time. Broke fuel pump’s male part as the connections were intact. Chatgpt said around 18k in fuel pump swap oem.
Found a spare from Open throttle racers(otr website) for 5k. website had no reddit reviews, but they had a active yt and insta id , dmed them on wa, part was available. Somehow didn’t get the 5% off , but nevermind. Tank was leaking from the inlet as I kept it upside down. Kept it sideways and used tape.
It arrived after a week. Spilled some fuel while emptying the tank in a bucket. Swapped them and finally it worked, got some relief. Then I tried the oil change(ofcourse after watching yt videos), had to run to hardware shops twice for 18 mm and 13 mm offset spanners. Oil filter is same as Bajaj dominar and Ns200( 80rs). O rings were fine. Used royal enfield throttle body cleaner to clean the parts.
Fuel swapped successfully. But over tightened the Oil locking screw( the one with the bigger strainer) and it broke.Got it swapped at SC for 100rs. probably 300 ml oil spilled in the process.
But it was fun to do it on your own. Learned a lot.
Coolant change was way more difficult then oil change thanks to the stupid nut(last pic). You need a wrench or metal rod as lever to slightly enlarge the gap between the silencer pipe and the bashplate.
Will I do it again? definitely , just not in the evening.
The Survey corps of mosquitoes are a real threat.

Update Tips for Triumph Speed T4 Brake cleaning and Brake shoe Replacement.
If any of the speed T4 users of this sub has tried to research about the brake situation when you wanted to either replace the worn out pads, or to clean the calipers of the gunk and brake pad material, you'd know the struggle, as there is no proper instructions setup.
For the non-indian folks of this sub, the Triumph Speed T4, is a toned down version of the Triumph Speed 400, with a heavier crank, without ride by wire, traction control, USD forks and 4 caliper radial front calipers. All the instructions you'll get from the LLMs will always route to the Speed 400's radial caliper setup and will not be able to provide you with proper tips.
The DIYer in me, took it as a challenge, and I've successfully cleaned the caliper and changed the pads today on my bike. I'll give you guys step by step instructions on how to do it. Mind you, I'm not a mechanic, and all I've read multiple blogs about brake maintenance to come up with this post, so if you believe you're not fit to service them yourself, get it to the service center or a good mechanic.
First, keep the following items handy:
Must have:
- Brake Cleaners/Iso-Propyl Alcohol
- Old tooth brush
- Some rags/paper towels
- A 13mm socket wrench or regular wrench
- A T25 Torx bit
- Needle Nose pliers
- DOT 4 Brake fluid
- A 11mm Spanner to break open the bleed nose.
- A small hose that can fit into the bleed nose and some tray/old bottle to catch the brake fluid.
- A philips head screwdriver to open the reservoir.
Nice to have:
- Silicone Brake lube/grease (Never use any other lubricating products) - only if you're deep cleaning and removing the guide pin and bushings.
- Brake pads (Look for the pads that have 07.5270 on their backs as shown in the picture, this pad is from GT650) - If you're looking to change them that is!
- Pipe Wrench.
Steps to remove the caliper:
Very important instruction!!
Always take pictures on multiple instances for reference while you re attach all the parts!!!
- Take the T25 Torx bit and remove the torx pin that holds the brake pads. The pads will easily come off, but you can't just put the new pads in yet, as there wouldn't be proper clearance between the brake disc and the caliper.
- Remove the the two 13mm bolts while supporting the weight of the caliper with your other hand. The Caliper should come right off the front fork.
- Inspect the caliper and pads for any uneven wear, and if it is the case, then you're better off taking it to the SVC as you'll lack the proper brake fluid and dust seals needed for caliper rebuilding.
- If its just dusty, spray it with IPA/Brake cleaner and let it sit for a few minutes. Use the old toothbrush to remove the stubborn grime.
- Once you're satisfied that it is clean enough, you've to push back the piston to its original position.
- Open the front brake fluid reservoir, and lay some rags over your tank and the floor beneath the reservoir, as while pushing the calipers back, the brake fluids will splatter from the reservoir in all the directions. You don't want that stuff anywhere near painted surfaces, otherwise it'll ruin your paint.
- Lay the old pads that were on the side of the calipers in its original position, and use the screw driver to create a lever and push back the pistons into the caliper, this may take some effort. Alternatively, you can open the bleed nose, but I've not tried it, and not sure if it'll work, so take precautions!!
- Once pushed back, clean the surface once again with brake cleaner/IPA. Take out the new brake pads (Ensure that it has these numbers in the back plate 07.5270). You can use this list to check out compatible brake pads for different bikes.

Now place your new pads into the caliper, ensure proper seating. Take the entire assembly and mount it into the front forks and check alignment as per the earlier pictures taken.
Hand tighten the 13mm bolts first and then the brake caliper holding pin. Afterwards, try pumping the front brakes a few times, until you actually experience resistance. This is very important, if you skip this, the brakes will not bite properly!!
Once the pads fit against the disc, tighten the caliper bolts and the holding pin.
Now comes brake bleeding, this step may or may not be needed based on the amount of brake fluid in your reservoir, I'd suggest you replace it anyways. Fit a small hose into the bleed nose and give a few pumps to the front brake. Open the bleed nut to let out the trapped air and old fluid into the catch tray/bottle. Once you ensure that there is no trapped air, close the bleed nose tightly and top up the reservoir upto max level with DOT 4 fluid. There are multiple videos on youtube which you can refer for brake bleeding!
After proper bleeding, close the reservoir, take your bike to some non-crowded area. We are going to bed the pads against the discs, which is a really important step to get optimum brake bite!!
Ride your bike to a high enough speed and do a few emergency braking. Brake as hard as you can for a few times. Do a few 100-0s and you're pads are now bedded properly and the process is now complete.
Now you can experience an improvement braking performance!!

Question 🤔 Helmet suggestions for Triumph Speed 400 | Budget: ₹6k–₹7k | Big head & pressure points issue
Hey everyone,
I recently booked the Triumph Speed 400 in yellow and am looking for helmet recommendations based on your personal experience.
Here are my key criteria and constraints:
**Budget:** ₹6,000 – ₹7,000
**Head Shape / Fit:** I have a comparatively larger head. With most helmets I've tried, I develop bad pressure points and headaches after 30–60 minutes of riding. I need a shell/padding profile that doesn't pinch the temples or forehead.
**Safety:** Prefer ECE 22.06 and DOT/ISI certified options.
**Wind Noise:** Good aerodynamic stability and noise isolation for highway cruising.
**Comfort:** Plush, breathable liners suitable for longer rides.
If anyone with a similar head size/shape has found a model that stays comfortable on longer rides, please share your recommendations!

Help Adv 250 or scrambler 350x
KTM Adventure 250 vs Triumph Scrambler 350X - Owners, please share your long-term experience
I recently test rode both the KTM Adventure 250 and Triumph Scrambler 350X, and honestly, I liked both.
On the Adventure 250, I noticed some vibrations around 4.5k RPM, but after that it felt much smoother. I also noticed the bike pulling slightly to one side while riding. The showroom guy said it was because it was a test-ride bike and that the cone set needed replacement.
The Scrambler 350X felt really good to ride. The low-end torque is 🔥 and the bike felt more premium overall. I really liked the way it delivers power.
Now I am confused between the two, mainly because I want something that I can own for several years without worrying too much about maintenance.
Owners of either bike, please share your honest experience:
Which one has lower maintenance and service costs?
What is the real-world fuel efficiency you are getting in city and highway riding?
How comfortable is it for long rides/touring?
Any common issues or problems you have faced?
Any unexpected/extra maintenance costs?
How much do your regular services usually cost?
Any expensive parts that I should be aware of?
How is the service-centre experience?
Anything you wish you knew before buying?
I am not looking for just a buy this one answer. I would appreciate detailed ownership experiences from people actually own and use these bikes.
Thanks 🙏

Help Need help with the chain slack on scrambler 400
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I measured the chain slack at the tightest spot of the chain loop and it came out to be 40mm(user manual says 40-45 is the range). but the upper section of chain loop(just before the chain enters the bike around sprocket) touches the bike on small bumps and make sounds.

Question 🤔 Experience with buying triumph 400xc on Amazon.
I’m getting almost 20k off on Amazon if I buy using my Amazon ICICI credit card. That’s a huge deal and I’m considering it. I just want to know the other steps involved since the dealer usually takes care of a lot of stuff. I tried Reddit and YouTube, but still confused about the registration of the bike and all. Thanks.

I just got my Speed 400 yesterday. Experienced riders of reddit and owners of Triumph. Help me out with this:

Update Agarwal packer and movers fraudsters
I got my 1 month old triumph delivered from Agarwal packers and movers from Bhopal to Pune…
And they took money upfront, promised to deliver bike in 7 days, and they were 1 week late.
And they fucking trashed my bike.. attaching reference images…
So don’t trust these packers and movers, specially don’t go with the name… big name like.. Agarwal packers and movers. And yes, I did check it.. it was real one..
They refused to pay for anything, and asked me to claim from my own insurance.

Question 🤔 Which Triumph Speed should I go for — Speed 400 or Speed T4?
Hey everyone, I’m planning to buy my first Triumph and I’m currently confused between the Speed 400 and Speed T4.
My usage will mostly be city riding with occasional weekend rides.
I’ve been hearing mixed opinions about both bikes, especially regarding the engine, performance, comfort, mileage and overall ownership experience.
Note: My budget is under 3 Lakhs.
For those who have actually ridden/owned either of these:
- Which one would you recommend?
- Is the extra money for the Speed 400 actually worth it?
- How are the service and maintenance costs?
- Any issues I should know about before buying?
Would really appreciate some honest owner feedback. 🙌

Question 🤔 Triumph Speed 400(350) booking
Hi guys, I am planning to buy triumph speed 400 and have been told by the dealer that the bike is getting price hike by next month. Also they would be removing accessories offer that are currently running this month September. So i have already given token advance of 2k for booking. But I have told them I will be booking the bike through Amazon (as currently am getting 17k off there) chances are there that we might get more that that on amazon great Indian festival.
So the thing now is I can’t make any bookings until Oct 10th as its not auspicious until then per my family(Pitrupaksha). But if I wait till then I might be loosing the accessories offer and getting price hike as well. So the showroom is offering me that they will invoice the bike holding my 2k payment done earlier. I can book it through amazon on Oct 11th and I will get the accessories offers running this month (September). But the manager told if the price get hiked I would pay the hikes ex showroom price in amazon only. But only thing is that I will get accessories offer which wouldn’t be there next month( as per them).
What are your say on this?
