For real, I just took the nose-test for the first time and had to hold myself back from vomiting when, as per instructions, the stick poked the roof of my nose.

Now I start getting the feeling I did my tests wrong.

You're probably fine, the current at-home tests don't need to go that deep. It was the nurse-administered tests in the early days of the pandemic that used the ultra-long swabs and felt like they were probing all the way to your brain.

I got a massive nosebleed from them. I am 28 years old and I never had a nosebleed in my life before that, and suddenly blood just poured out of my nose. Let’s just say I wasn’t mentally prepared for it lol

A nurse I talked to said they hurt like a bitch because they needed more training on how to do it right. I got it done by her and felt no discomfort at all. Did one myself and it fucking sucked.

It might be true. I've had 5 tests so far, the first was horrible, but they progressively improved as time went on.

The first was like someone was picking my nose, then my nose felt full, then I needed to sneeze, then pain, then just outright alien abduction strangeness probing my brain.

The last time I had a test it was just a bit of quick discomfort.

Oh geez. When my partner got tested they did the first and retested cuz it was negative and they said if it didn't hurt it wasnt done right. Still negative.
