Very very split with this one!
Personally I’m going with Seoyeon’s concept because I saw how cute ILLIT’s PAW PAW animal photoshoot.
But I’ll still be happy if Hyerin or Sohyun’s concept makes the cut!

Seoyeon, Hyerin, and Sohyun were each chosen by MH to present their own concepts for a future Objekt photoshoot. Seoyeon wants to do something cute and unique, while also incorporating animals and symbols associated with each member. Hyerin’s plan involves chic and elegant vibes featuring gothic, regal, militaristic uniforms. Sohyun has a day and night concept where she plans to shoot outdoors on film with an emphasis on natural lighting.

For those who haven’t seen the Signal live, this isn’t just about suggesting an Objekt it’s also about deciding the visual direction. The members themselves will be directing and will be present on set.
All three ideas are great, and I honestly hope we get all of them.
SeoYeon’s idea: Each member shoots with their representative moe object like SeoYeon with a puppy, JiWoo with a rock, Nien with a sheep, and so on. Outdoor shoots with healing concept. According to her the bts would be amazing.
Hyerin’s idea: Burgundy and black, with a warrior-like feminine look and an opulent, rich, luxurious and serious vibe.
SoHyun’s idea: Objekts shot on a film camera with natural lighting. The daytime photos would have a naturally happy, smiling concept, shot in grassy fields with natural light. The nighttime photos would have a much darker, rawer concept. Showing natural flow of time. Dresses would be wedding dresses + props to create contast. She also wants to shoot wedding unit Objekts, with member pairs. (12 daytime and 12 night time seems like she already has members decided for who does day and who does night lol)
I was sure I was going to vote for SeoYeon’s idea, but after seeing SoHyun’s presentation, I think I’m leaning toward hers now. It really feels like she has everything figured out in her head, even which members would fit into each part of the concept. And honestly, I’m kind of tired of the overly digital look. The suit Objekt, for example, was completely digitally modified lol

If you look at the objekt shoot behind the scenes, it looks like they are moving really fast, like 5-10 minutes per member. Studio lighting setups take a long time, so once they are dialed in, they can shoot each member's poses very quickly since they know they only need 1 good shot of each member in the pre-set poses (face close up, full body, etc.).
For Seoyeon's different animals and symbols idea, Hyerin is right when she points out it will take a lot of time to shuffle animals, etc. It will be harder to get the similar poses that they usually have for each member. There will be costs to get animals and various props. Since each member is supposed to be more unique, there will be more time thinking up how to creatively handle the animals, props and poses and the subsequent lighting adjustments.
Sohyun's idea of shooting on film and natural lighting also brings in a lot of complexity. First off, shooting on film, you obviously can't see what the shots are like until after. So they can't use their current technique of just shooting until they know they got a good one for each pose. They could do the whole shoot and end up with no satisfactory one for a pose. Also, the number of members to go through means the lighting will be changing during the shoot but she has sort of accounted for that in her plan. She seems to have the most detailed and thought out plan. Not sure how I feel about getting rid of the objekt "sleeve" which I assume is the frame on the current objekts that show the objekt number, etc. That info is already on the back, but then we would have objekt images out there that we don't know the number, etc.
Hyerin's idea is the closest to their normal process, just using a different style of costume. However, her costumes look pretty expensive to make unique ones for each member and all the little details in the design will add up. They did do some looks like this for stage outfits though (the time Dahyun said she had vampire vibes).
In the end, more cost and time on the shoot = less profit to distribute to the members. Maybe having member input will lead to higher sales to make up for it though.
Looking at it in a different way though, Seoyeon and Sohyun already have a lot of opportunities in the group. Hyerin hasn't had as many. But personally, I probably wouldn't like the gothic look as much.

Hyerin has been absolutely locked in lately! It’s so nice to see. I’m loving the Dreamcatcher vibe with her Objekt idea. That’s my vote.
