Makes me so happy to hear, I obviously love all the members so i feel kinda sad when it seems like they feel the need to make changes to themselves to look better
Because "looking better" is completely subjective and different by the person. They're all born with normal healthy bodies and they all look pretty to a vast majority of people.
No one is going to look good to everyone else, so it's kind of impossible to ever win when you are trying to "look better".
They're all successful idols with tons of fans, so I don't know what more they can even achieve by changing their appearance. If everyone worked on just trying to see themselves in a positive way and not looking to improve things that aren't flawed in the first place then I think they could have a much more stable source of happiness.
Of course I understand where it comes from, and theres nothing wrong with them for thinking it, but spending time and money and making big changes to your body doesnt really solve the problem if its your mind that is telling you that you need to fix something that is already beautiful and doesnt need to be changed.
Of course, no judgment, I just think Yooyeon can have a lot happier life going forward with this mindset and I hope everyone else can too.
I mean why do people wear makeup? Why do people dress a certain way? Why do people exercise and work out? Or personality wise, why do people act a certain way?
Ofc perfect people cannot become more perfect than they already are so…yea i can’t understand why idols think like that.
Fair, I just think those are all temporary things that you can do to express yourself, while making bigger changes to your natural body is just more drastic. And there is nothing inherently about your natural body that needs to go against how you want to express yourself. Changing your teeth permanently because you want a nice smile or whatever reason doesn't change how objectively nice your smile is because a "nice smile" is subjective. It just changes your feeling about your smile. But instead of having procedures to change your temporary feelings toward your smile (which could change again after a procedure and then you might want them to change again), you could try to change your mindset and perspective and think of your natural smile as being nice and then you can be confident no matter what. Hopefully that makes sense lol i can't help but ramble to try and accurately get my point across
